Stranger than fiction - stranger that webcomics?

Ok, anyone here seen the movie Stranger than fiction?

its about this guy who suddenly wakes up this morning and hears this narator voice in his head talking as if it was telling the story of his life... and of how it was about to end quite soon.

he then finds this narator in real life, and convinces her to 'narate' him into surviving... or something like that - dont want to spoil the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

anyway - the thing is... what would you do if you somehow suddenly got contacted, IRL, by a character from your webcomic?

now, of course, some characters are more outlandish than others, like furry characters or anything non-human for that matter - but say you got some char that you, in the webcomic, make go through hell - be it a superhero battling seemingly impossible odds on a daily basis, or the girl in Ugly Girl (just for example's sake) who think she's... well.. ugly... and stuff.

what would you do if you character(s) came up to you and told you to stop putting them into those kinds of situations!

Hm. My story is based on- who the characters are. So- it's not like I'm putting them through anything they haven't experienced...

My characters are the "good guys"...I haven't put them into any situation they couldn't handle. So far.

But I would think meeting my creations would be awesome. I'd even settle for cosplayers dressed as my characters.

I could see some of the characters from more 'angsty' periods of my life being rather pissed off about all of the shit I put them through ("Why can't I just have a successful relationship for once?") but the recent ones have had it pretty sweet.

I'd probably have to check myself into a psych ward after having conversations with animate penises, though.

My characters wouldn't ask me to stop. They'd probably tell me to go fuck myself and go on believing I have nothing to do with them.

I think I'd probably run very far away to avoid being bowled over/kidnapped/shot/etc. My characters (especially the protagonist) have pretty horrible luck.

I wouldn't worry, I know all my characters.

Except emo puppet. Being the embodiment of all my anxiety, fears, depression, lack of self esteem, bla di bla di bla, he'd probably be somewhat resentful towards me.
