New title page
When I first started, dial-up was more prevelent, and afraid the comic would take too long to load---so I used a "teaser" panel from the new page to link to it.
Now, dial-up is the exception, not the rule, broadband is more prevelent, so I decided to finally put the entire comic on the front page. I may rearrange some minor things, but I'm hoping to "snag" more casual readers, the ones who wouldn't click to check from the "teaser" panel.
Suggestions and reactions? Follow the link below.

Rats. Now I have to go and change that tutorial.
Also: It's off the edge of the screen in 1024x768. You'd be scrolling all over the place in 800x600 or if you had a side bar open.

I actually thought the teaser panel was a nice, unique touch, but you're probably right that this style is more accessible to new readers. As Joel says, though, resize a little. 800x600 may have gone the way of the IRC channel, but as far as I know, the majority of people (including me) still use 1024x768.
Make your comic smaller (600 pixels wide is enough and leaves about 120 pixels for a menu on the sides. As long as I can read the text, it's enough.) and get rid of as much dead space as the top as you can.
Your comic is halfway down the screen on the 800x600, and scrolling left and right is a bitch.

Actually, since we're critiquing, I always thought your title looks too much like a banner ad.
But, more on topic stuff: The chapter links are waaay down, due to the long "Latest thoughts". Firstly, I think the text box there is too long and too narrow. If you use an ifram, then interested readers can scroll and it won't stretch your webpage.
Secondly, the chapter links should be aligned with the top of the table. Belt and braces, see.
The box you have the advert in also has a stray forward slash. This might be the advert's doing, though.

please move this stuff:

underneth your comic.
As you can see, your comic barely peaks out from the bottom in my browser :p
