Longest story arc...

Post by Alschroeder »

I've just finished my longest story ever. 102 pages. 8 months.

Obviously, I was insane.

What's YOUR longest story arc?---Al

22 strips, I think. Just over seven weeks. A minnow compared to you lot.

Well, LWK is more or less one story arc interwoven with a few less important.
In other words, year and a half, 150 comics and going.

Story arc? Never heard the word.

Really, my comic seems to be turning into one long story arc from beginning to end. I think it reads more like a novel than a comic book series.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

Honestly, I don't know. I think I've had some month long story arcs. I don't do arcs so much as I do themes, and said themes can last anywhere from a week to several months.

Longest Arc . . .

Post by Fading Aura »

My longest storyarc started in October and is still going . . . so, in about four and three quarters months, I've covered four acts out of thirteen in 95 comics. It'll probably end sometime in 2007 - sooner if I can help it. ;)

I forget. It was 70 some pages I think. It was orginally going to be 10, but I felt it needed to keep going. My current one may be over 100.

Page-wise, mine haven't tended to be over 20 pages. If you go by real-time, it'd be my current arc but that's because I keep taking month-long hiatuses.

It's a tie between the intro of all the main characters except Kat and the Kat introduction arc, both of which span eight comics each. The current storyarc, RotD Con, will be a bit longer than that, however, by the time it's all done up.

RotD isn't big on continuity.
Existence is a series of catastrophes through which everything barely but continually survives.

Depends on your definition of "story arc". I'm going on two and a half years and my characters are still in the same day.

If you're a purist, I've gone about a month or so focusing on the same characters.

Timewise: Current one, started in September and still 14 pages from teh end.

Still in the middle of mine, spanning back to last May - so about 10 months. With a couple of minor hiatusesuses (hiatii?) thrown in. Still looking to go on for another couple months, at least. (maybe even longer unless I can start writing again, d'oh >_<)

Hooli's story, chapter 7, is going to run about 3-4 months, so about 30 pages all told. That's going to be about the same size as Nick's story. One of those is my longest so far. I don't like going much longer than that.

The next chapter (chapter 8) is short. I'm worried about chapter 9, though. It could be very long and if I'm not careful, boring. I need to do something about it.

18-20 pages I believe. I think it was the question on bombs.

No no. He specifically omitted anything that could be useful in building a bomb. He just linked sites that were...

Well, Jim already answered it for RotD, but for Distant Eras all I have written is the prologue. I thought it was going to be about three strips, but it turned out to be 12 or 13. If I stay with the planned once-a-week update schedule, it'll be about three months long.
