Comic March is here!
Well, day after tomorrow will be the beginning of Comic March. To sum up the Comic March thing, for those of you who don't want to wade through the thread, I've put forth a challenge to complete a minimum of 32 pages of a comic project in the month of March. Anyone who may pass that minimum have no real ceiling, but the original number of pages I'd proposed to shoot for was 60. For those of you who wish to participate, I hope you're more ready than I am!
I'm already edgy about it. I still can't decide on which project I want to do. Also, in the middle of the month, I'll be going to St. Louis for a week, for a family reunion, and when I get back, I need to prepare to leave for Yellowstone in early April. It's going to be busy busy March, and that's without the comic and art projects that I have to commit myself to.
Fingers are crossed that I'll get my ass in gear, and get a whole lot done in the designated 31 days. However, since I'm bored of the internet anyway, and don't like my surfing habits lately, I've decided to give up web surfing, and focus purely on drawing, just so I know that I have enough time in a given day to produce. My hope is to get into such a habit of drawing, like I do away from computer access, that I'll really have a high rate of output, and come out with some good work. I'll visit the forum periodically with updates, but I really want to make this work out, and, as of now, sitting in front of the computer is sucking up way way way too much of my waking time, and must be sacrificed.
So, to those who are participating, any game plans to help you reach the goal line? Any sacrifices? Any tricks? Share. And, to all participants, good luck!

...NaNoWriMo for webcomics?
I'd love to, but...I'm WAY too scared to do this one.
Maybe some other time.

I feel blessed if I can get out 16-20 pages a month....
Best of luck to all you masochistic comicers who attempt this challenge...and give me links. I'd love to read a comic written during a brief window of insanity.

If I'd heard of it a few weeks in advance I might have been daft enough to give it a try.

I may consider, is this 32 pages of a set script that all participants must follow or 32 days of your own comic, because if it's the second then there's no way I can participate as my scriptwriter can get an average of one page a month if she feels like it

I was just reading your comic and thinking, 'Man, he's got to take a break sometime, doesn't he?'anywherebuthere wrote:Sorry,
I'm coming off of Feburary Frag Fest, where I go a full 28 days of non-stop full page updating.
i need a break, and doing it all over again doesn't really appeal to me.

Good luck to Buster, and to anyone else in the marathon. I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines.

Save for the fact that I totally forgot about this until now, I'll see what I can do. I'd like to put something together, and my wife is always telling me to keep working on stuff I can send in to publishers and whatnot.

I'd like to do something like this, but I just don't have time. I'm lucky to get 10 comics done in a month. For me to do 32 I'd have to bring down the quality of my work.
