Comic Expo (UK)

Post by Odd1 »

Is anyone (besides Lag) going to the lovely Comic Expo in Brighton this November? I seem to have half a table. Tell me you will stop by for a visit. I've never been to the UK before and to be honest it frightens me ever so slightly. Today I booked my airline ticket! Exciting. That is all.

Why do they always put these things at really bad times of year? I doubt I'll make it (if only I had gone to Brighton University).

Why do they always put these things in the UK? I can't get out of town, much less out of the country!

Just be grateful you're in the right hemisphere.

Why do they always put these things not in my town?

I hadn't heard of it before I saw it mentioned on Liz's site the other day... I'm thinking about it, a little. It's unlikely that I'll go but I do want to go to more webcomics-friendly conventions, especially outside the Netherlands.

Wow, I live in London and I'd love to go, but talk about unprepared... I don't have anything at all with me in the way of books & merchandise. I think I'll pass and wait for the webcomic thingy.

Edit: Althouuuuuuuuuuuuuugh... If either Komiyan or Ping plan to attend, would you let me know please? :)

I'm sort of interested, if I can get money and travel together.

Bekka, If you don't feel like selling things you could also just visit. Plenty to see and you can always hand flyers out. Also, if you (or anyone else here for that matter) just want half a table a friend of mine is looking to split one!

I can't go to both this and next year's web comix thing, and I've to admit, I'm holding out for the latter.

What Bob said. I'm in a money-saving kinda place now, so I can't really afford it. Damned if you can keep me away from the UK Webcomics Thing, though.

Which means I'd probably have to get of my arse and draw something before March.

Well a 30 page comic book by March would require a 1000% increase in productivity compared to the last 6 months.
