Ouch. I don't know what I'd do with an injury to my main hand; I can barely do anything with my right hand...

But it could be worse; you could be trying to grasp pencils with a foot or holding them in your mouth or something... ;)

I had that happen to me once. Triped on a rock and fell right on my hand at a bad angle. Not spiffy.
