24 hour comic day looms as a dark shadow on the horizon, that is to say, is the Saturday after next. Anyone planning on celebrating by burdening themselves with the nigh-unachievable challenge of comicing all day long?

I think this is already being discussed in OTJ.

So it is. Strange that a search for the subject did not turn that up. Apologies.

Words for the wise:
1) Get 9+ hours of sleep before trying this!
2) Expect pain. Pain means you live. Learn to love pain.
3) Inform family that you will be doing this and that you will stab whoever interferes with a spoon.
4) Start in the morning and not at night. You dumbass!
5) Don't schedule each comic to take an hour. Instead scedule each to take 45 min. That way youll create time for lunch and dinner. Write this schedule out if you must.
6) It's not about creating great art. Therefor cheating is pointless. It's about torturing yourself for a day and shaking your dick around saying you did it! That's the man's way. Women too I guess. I suppose they shake their breasts or something...
At least I hope they do...
And here is an example:

No critiques please. I was sleap deprived and BSing when I made this.
Notice how the art gets better and better and then suddenly goes to crap. Not a coincidence.
So have fun! We'll start a thread when we are done.

I really really really wanna do it, but the only German location is in Berlin which is like 12 hours from where I live (Saarbruecken), and I really really really don't wanna do it alone...
I'll go ask around in some German forums... maybe someone'll join me in my town...

You guys are mental, I just want to let you know that.
Anyway, if it's on Saturday for you, it'll be Sunday for me, and I'll be on a full weekender in Melbourne at a 25th birthday and footy weekend. I think I'll get more out of that.

In 24 hours, I could do... 1/3 of a comic. Maybe 1/2 if I pushed it. So, no.

You can participate at home too, just to say you did. That's really the point.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll have time for it. Too bad; I had a cool idea. The most I can do in equivalence is time myself for a while for 24 hours, and hope I get 24 pages done before that time runs out.

I actually got an idea for the plot of this thing. I know you aren't SUPPOSED to have an idea before hand. But I really like this one. So I'm doping it anyways. It's not like I'm putting anything on paper beforehand or even making an efort to think things out before hand so it should all work out.
And bessides, isn't it more about torturing yourself and them bragging that you can torture yourself to others?

I'd it if it wasn't on the 23rd. I'll be recovering and proceeding to go out and party again that night.
