Fan Art Nobody Would Want!

Post by Spriteville, USA »

Well I wanted to wait until I had at least 5 but I'm tired and about to pass out. So here's a few pictures I've been working on. Now these lucky artists will know that they have been immortalized in sprite like form. MWAHAHAHAHH!

For some unknown reason you guys are chilling in a Dennys. That's the reason for the horrifying rug and decor. When my eyes stop hurting I'll get on some original backgrounds for you guys too. On with the "art"

Love your style. Just wanted to say =] I've wanted to do a sprite version since I first saw War.

Damn you and your cranial structure. Need to find a way to make that look better. Trust me the other drafts made it look like you had a terminal disease.

My favorite so far. I cheated with a higher bitage on this one to get the "shapely" look down a bit more effectivly. Also helped with accesorizing.

So anyone else want to be Sprited? I plan to keep going when I get bored, which is quite often. =] Also if you wish for any changes or alterations I can get that done. Editing is a lot easier for me than hand drawn comics.

At any rate I hope these are enjoyed. I know I'm new but I am thoroughly entertained here.

 Those are cool! Pixel art is so much more forgivable than traditional sprites. And these are silently mocking all those megaman sprites with their pose. LOVE IT! SIMPLY LOVE IT!!!

War looks so smug in that pic. Very him.

Nice.
(although i think making your own cool sprites is kinda cheating.. where's Megaman ?? :D)

What you should do is make some for other forum regulars and make a comic with all of them. Sprite revenge on the artists who mock them !

hahaha, cool ^^
We got pixelized! Neat-o! Who says you can't be creative with sprites? It's nice to see that if you're gonna do 'em, you at least make your own characters.

And I personally have absolutely no idea how to manipulate sprites, so it always kinda impresses me when people are good at it.

So sprite comics are generally frowned upon, but a sprite comic starring Spacers (modeled after MM sprites) would be a huge success?

Sprite art and sprite comics are kinda different, in my eyes at least. One's just rips, the other takes a lot more time and effort. I'd link you to an excellent and funny sprite art comic, but Drunk Duck is fubar'd again, so I'll do it later.

Thanks everyone so far. I'm glad for the warm reception of these.Especially from God of Tarot. Thank you.

I'll keep at these. As for a comic starring spacers. Hrm... maybe, I'd need a cool story idea first but I'll work on it. =] If I can think of something good maybe I'll make it a surprise.

My biggest worry are Spriting animals, objects I can do, but animals might be a bit tougher. I'm gonna take a crack at it though. =]

It's good to see originality in Sprite comics, because it almost never happens.

Good job!

I don't suppose you'd like to do an alternative page of my comic this way, would you? (Check out http://mindmistress.keenspace.com/mmalt.htm to see what I call an alternative page---specialized fan art where someone redraws a page of mine in their own style.) I would LOVE a sprite comic version of a page. Of course, I'd give you a link, etc.----Al

Absolutly Al =] That would be a lot of fun actually.

Here's a start on a sprite for you. I think it looks a bit funny. (As mentioned above the girls have a higher bittage, good for some things but it can make the sprite look funny if not done correctly. I'll be working on it for a Alternative page for you =]

Image

Oh, I would like to add as a side note that I can do other poses. It's not too hard, but I always do the "standing tall" sprite first because I can work off of it the best.

Cool man. I second the notion that a sprite comic with forumites could be pretty neato.

We'll see how far I take this =] I might not be able to pull off a run on story, but I could do a short minicomic =]. I'd try to stray from too many inside jokes. Don't want to alientate those who don't scour every thread. I would rather enjoy a comic starring all you guys. With the people's permission of course.

Now for a story, it'd have to be something special. Not a "The forums are being attacked" story. Also a storyline along the lines of "A rift in space and time has led to a fracturing of the web comic world" seems a tad cliche, but I have seen some people pull it off. But I dunno if i could do it.

However, I think I do actually have an inkling of an idea. As I said we'll see how things go =]
