Back to school?

Post by Themoch »

Hey, i know most of you guys are either in Highschool, or in college... myself being a college student i think i'm going to find it hard now that the year is starting... i'm currently in school right now waiting for classes to start. I was just wondering how many of you planned ahead and uploaded some strips in advanced.... also.. if your comic deals with college life, i'd love to read it, post a link here...
It's all about the Sylvan Style.... go check it out.

I have been wanting to ask this question forever, and now j00 st34l |\/|y id34z? Just kidding, you're quicker than me.

Anyway, methinks that I might be the youngest (or one of) Keenspacers. Why, you ask? Here's a hint: I'm going into high school. Yeah, stick that in your pipe 'n smoke it! I'm going into 9th grade! No HTML experience, and I made a website! I have an IQ of 160, if those online tests are right! I 4m s00p3r-t33n!

Okay, that was gay... *goes off to hang himself*

Anyway, I haven't pre-made any comics. Nope. I hope to ride out the school year by making comics for every Tuesday and Friday. Note how those days are almost evenly spaced out for maximum time to finish a comic. That's my gameplan.

personally, I feel like I have MORE time, now that I'm back at school. I mean, class for four hours a day and getting a nap helps more than work for 7 hours a day when I don't get to stop. Plus, I can work on my comics in art history, and the prof don't notice ;)
But really, I feel like I can focus on it better here, without the 'rents around and all. I'm not really doing many comics in advance, just because I'm a lot more confident that I'll get them done here, and at school, I have a group of fans :-D

and my comic's NOT about college, BTW ;) so don't read it, but I WILL plug Dunnboyz which is a college comic I like :)

If you think it's hard to maintain a comic while going to school, try doing it with a demanding full time job. I don't get summers off, and you can forget about those wacky holiday breaks and half-days, too. I can't get away with drawing at work, neither (although I do day-dream plots/jokes and such when no one is looking; they can take my freedom, but they will never take my mind!)

Now that it's back-to-school time I'll have more time to work on my comic because my kids will be in school! Woohoo!

% It's the most wonderful time of the year... %

OH MY GOD.

School starts tomorrow for me. Oh well, time for the comic shouldn't be difficult to find. I never do my schoolwork. Ever.

Here here for the juniors.....
Just do your cartoons in class like me... I find that I can work best when I'm half-delirious and insane from all the repetition of school.

School just means that you are going to have some late weekend nights shading in that stupid pixel.

Now I'm off to hurl pennies at the freshman.

Since most people sit and talk at lunch, I sit, talk and draw.

I would draw comics in class but THIS semester I'm gonna straighten out and try my hardest!

...

No, really!

Cartooning is too time consuming for a highschool student... I say we leave web-comics to the unemployed bums, starving artists, and gamers.
It's like, a cartoonopia!

Yes, congratulations, you've won me. I know it's not much, but we bums have to stick together.

If you're also unstable/insane, you might be elligble for critical acclaim and worldwide fame.

But only after you're dead, though.

Sane? Who here is sane? What is sanity? It's all perspective.
As for critical acclaim, I wish. I keep having this fantasy where Showtime or HBO picks up and animates PSC. But it'll never happen. Ah, but I can dream, ne? ^^;
