It's just a really long wait period. It took them 2 1/2 months to get my space up because they add them in batches. Rumor has it that they'll be adding more spaces soon, but over 1000 people are in queue, so you'll just have to be patient a little longer. ^_^

I say be patient regardless of the time it takes to add you, otherwsie your like a homeless guy outside the Salvation Army shouting "GIMME GIMME GIMME!" My mother always said the aqueeky wheel gets the grease, I always told her why not get a better wheel that won't just end up squeekin again....so...uh..... screw that. Ask the higher ups like Kissy-face(aka Kisai) but don't run upto Gav and Mr. Crosby(NOT Bobby!) and start buggin em about not being up soon. Not that I think you will, but I'm just saying.....aw god.. I'm just gonna shut up and go back to sleep.

Just keep on with making the comics. The more you have when your page starts, the better.

Don't forget, this IS a free service, after all. People who provide free services are doing everyone a big fat favor, not vice versa.

It took Keenspace more than two months to get mine. I e-mailed them about it, and the guy in charge (forgot his name) was like, "Oh shit, we forgot to e-mail you about that. Sorry 'bout that. here's your password, and go here for a tutorial."

I made 19 of 'em when I got my site. It's amazing how fast time flies. I gotta make a short comic tonight and a normal one tomorrow to get caught up.

Man, I had 20 cartoons ready in the time it took for Keenspace to register me, and my backlog flew by quickly... if I could do it all over again, I would have worked my little butt off on cartoons.
Then, unfortunately, I realized that I hated my cartoon and none of them have seen the light of day since : p.

It came a lot sooner than I expected....this unfortunately meant I was a bit unprepared, and we are now a bit behind. Crap crap crap. I heard it took a long time for people to get it, so I wasn't really expecting to get it til about now...but I got it in about two weeks after I signed up, back in July.

jeez.... now you people are making me feel all bad that I got mine in just under 4 weeks. :) but seriously, longer waits can be better since that allows you to get ahead of schedule. I was able to get a month's worth of comics done before I got my site and I'm still a month ahead, which means if I get sick, my readers won't send me hate-mail.

Heh. I saw another keenspace comic about a RPG based in High School. Too bad it only has like 6 comics spanned out in 7 months.

The queue is 1646 deep as of this moment.
(and 1465 'empty' comics that will get purged if their owners don't do something with them PDQ)

I've been waiting for 5 weeks. Its hard to keep interseted in comic when you cant get them seen. Theres just little inspiration to spend 2 hours working on a strip that not even your friends will look at.
Ive had my site working for about 4 weeks. Its very frustrating. The waiting period is probably the reason for the 7000 odd comics that dont have anything on them. Well, a large number of them anyways.

Part of the reason the wait is so long is to prevent people from mass-signing up for accounts and then using them for dump sites for their useless crap.

If people REALLY want a site, then they will wait. If they aren't serious about it, they can pay $$ for hosting on a commercial webhosting service that will bill you lots of money should you become popular.

If you get really impatient you can always set up a Geocities account and run your comic there manually until your Keenspace account comes in.
