I guess I could do it. Posts can't be edited anymore after an hour or so, though, so the old format of continuously updating the first post would need to change. I guess I could either post regularly in the WAY discussion thread with updates/reminders, or I could whip up an HTML page and link to that.RobboAKAscooby wrote:Yeah I was thinking about that and how someone else is gonna have to run things this year since I'm out of the webcomic game.
Oh, yeah, that's coming up pretty soon too, ain't it?RobboAKAscooby wrote:Mr/Miss ComicGenesis
Oh shit! Good call, Schoob! Am I the official Pageant orgonizer since I did it the past two years? I'll probably be able to regain my seat at the helm this year if need be.LibertyCabbage wrote:Oh, yeah, that's coming up pretty soon too, ain't it?RobboAKAscooby wrote:Mr/Miss ComicGenesis
I figure whoever did it last year's assumed to be doing it again unless they say they don't want to. And I haven't participated in a Pageant before, but I might as well this year, especially since my main character's shtick is answering questions about himself anyways, so it kinda makes too much sense not to.VeryCuddlyCornpone wrote: Oh shit! Yes. Yes you are.VeryCuddlyCornpone wrote: Am I the official Pageant orgonizer since I did it the past two years?
I always do it for fun. Leon winning last year was a true miraculous surprise. It's just nice getting to draw my characters out of a comic context. I do it so rarely even though I probably should be doing it more often...RobboAKAscooby wrote: If I have my new akaScooby site up by then I might kinda-sorta-technically be able to submit something but if not I'll still do it for fun not votes ('cause I'm not gonna win anyway).
I'm absoutely like you! I'd be up for another round but I'm not sure I'd really have the time to committ...VeryCuddlyCornpone wrote:I always do it for fun. True. Though that's been my incentive to keep updating regularly, so that way once the review thread comes around, whoever has to review me will at least have some new pages to read. Is that sad or what?Terotrous wrote:I think the main problem right now is there's so few active comics left that we've already all reviewed each other.
I know what you mean. Still, it's a tradition, and even if WAY 2013 ends up being underwhelming, it's nice knowing that there's an annual event where people can get their webcomic reviewed.Terotrous wrote:I think the main problem right now is there's so few active comics left that we've already all reviewed each other.
Oh yeah, that's gonna get weird, I was just thinking about the logistics of that. Maybe we should have three threads? One to post the "I'll do it!" posts to establish the reviewing order, one for all the reviews to go, and one for the discussion. (Alternately the reviews & discussion thereof can be merged into one thread). I don't think having essentially multiple threads on the same topic is really a big deal since hardly anything else goes on around here very much anymore anywayLibertyCabbage wrote:I guess I could do it. It'd be great to have some new people involved. And W.A.Y. started in mid-to-late-May the last couple years, so it should be May-something again this time.LadySol wrote:When is the web comic above thread going to start? I'd be interested in participating this time around.
Yeah, this is the only way of doing it that makes sense. Have a "placeholders" thread and a "reviews & discussion" thread seems like the best option.VeryCuddlyCornpone wrote:Oh yeah, that's gonna get weird, I was just thinking about the logistics of that. I'm sort of excited as well since I guess it's been around six years since I've had a new project reviewed.VeryCuddlyCornpone wrote:I'm excited! I haven't had a review since the last thread and could really use one. (Tempted to ask for one over on SmackJeeves but also feel as though I ought to wait until this chapter's done, for some reason)
