We should have a 500-word minimum this time.

Yeah I was thinking about that and how someone else is gonna have to run things this year since I'm out of the webcomic game.

Although if there's any missing reviews at the end of things I'll volunteer some.

I guess I could do it. Posts can't be edited anymore after an hour or so, though, so the old format of continuously updating the first post would need to change. I guess I could either post regularly in the WAY discussion thread with updates/reminders, or I could whip up an HTML page and link to that.

On a side note, I was looking through some of my older art the other day and found stuff from other annual events over the years such as Keenlace, Mr/Miss ComicGenesis, jams and things like that.
It would be good to see stuff like that come back, it makes for a fun change from just doing your own stuff.

Oh, yeah, that's coming up pretty soon too, ain't it?

Jams are awesome and I'd love to participate if I had more free time, but just updating my webcomic on time's proving to be challenging enough right now.

Oh shit! Good call, Schoob! Am I the official Pageant orgonizer since I did it the past two years? I'll probably be able to regain my seat at the helm this year if need be.

I figure whoever did it last year's assumed to be doing it again unless they say they don't want to. And I haven't participated in a Pageant before, but I might as well this year, especially since my main character's shtick is answering questions about himself anyways, so it kinda makes too much sense not to.

Yes. Yes you are.

But only if you want to be, no pressure dudette.

If I have my new akaScooby site up by then I might kinda-sorta-technically be able to submit something but if not I'll still do it for fun not votes ('cause I'm not gonna win anyway).

I always do it for fun. Leon winning last year was a true miraculous surprise. It's just nice getting to draw my characters out of a comic context. I do it so rarely even though I probably should be doing it more often...

I'm absoutely like you! I'd be up for another round but I'm not sure I'd really have the time to committ...

I think the main problem right now is there's so few active comics left that we've already all reviewed each other.

True. Though that's been my incentive to keep updating regularly, so that way once the review thread comes around, whoever has to review me will at least have some new pages to read. Is that sad or what?

I know what you mean. Still, it's a tradition, and even if WAY 2013 ends up being underwhelming, it's nice knowing that there's an annual event where people can get their webcomic reviewed.

Oh yeah, that's gonna get weird, I was just thinking about the logistics of that. Maybe we should have three threads? One to post the "I'll do it!" posts to establish the reviewing order, one for all the reviews to go, and one for the discussion. (Alternately the reviews & discussion thereof can be merged into one thread). I don't think having essentially multiple threads on the same topic is really a big deal since hardly anything else goes on around here very much anymore anyway :(

I'm excited! I haven't had a review since the last thread and could really use one. (Tempted to ask for one over on SmackJeeves but also feel as though I ought to wait until this chapter's done, for some reason)

When is the web comic above thread going to start? I'd be interested in participating this time around.

It'd be great to have some new people involved. And W.A.Y. started in mid-to-late-May the last couple years, so it should be May-something again this time.

Yeah, this is the only way of doing it that makes sense. Have a "placeholders" thread and a "reviews & discussion" thread seems like the best option.

I'm sort of excited as well since I guess it's been around six years since I've had a new project reviewed.

I'm going to miss being as heavily involved as normal.
I almost decided to do a short comic just for W.A.Y. but I think my time would be best served on trying to get my novels done and working through the growing list of artwork ideas I keep jotting down in my notebook at work.

Still I will put my hand up if anyone misses out or wants a 2nd (or 3rd or 4th or) opinion.
