Halloween Costume Swap 2011!

Post by VeryCuddlyCornpone »

It's not quite October yet, but might as well get started on this while the going is good.

Same principles as last year. Draw your characters dressed up as characters from another CGener's comic. You can do a simple single panel/splash page work, or if you're feeling extra creative can do a multi-panel affair.

Sign up in this thread by October 8th if you want to participate! I'll randomly pair everybody up with their swapping buddy and post the pairings in this thread. If you have more than one comic, indicate which one you would prefer to be used for the swap.

Your final work should be finished by October 31st or your soul will be slipped through the greatest of cheese graters.

For a little more insight, here's a link to last year's thread: http://forums.comicgenesis.com/viewtopi ... =4&t=89747

EDITED TO ADD LIST O'PAIRS

-CorganDane (Many Tidings Grim or Stick Margarine) and VinnieD (AntiBunny or Scribook)

-Robotthepirate (Robot the Pirate) and Dutch! (School Spirit)

I'm in.

Site link is in my signature.

I'd prefer Many Tidings Grim, but Stick Margarine could be funny, too. I'll leave that up to the artist. :D

Count me in.

Either of my comics is fine but Ride the Wind has more to work off at the moment than Flying Tigers.

Is this like a Kris Kringle event where everyone is given somebody else's character, or as it reads above and you just choose someone from those who've said they want in? Just didn't sound too clear up there. :)

Sorry, Dutch! I figured linking to the old thread would clarify. Everyone gets split into pairs (otherwise everyone might all pick the same comic or something :P ) I'll edit the OP to clarify.

I wasn't planning on it, but I could think about it for a quick time, if necessary.

You'd have to throw me into a family friendly strip though for it to work. That might unbalance your selection process and stuff though.

What I can do is pick your partner first, so that I can always toss the person back into the hat if you get paired with a mature comic. If you'd be more comfortable sitting this one out though, that's totally understandable :)

Dutch writes a strip that centers around elementary school age kids and keeps his site and its links family-friendly in the interest of children reading his comic. If he were to mesh with a mature strip, he wouldn't feel comfortable linking to it.

Ah. I'm doing the same thing so I'll probably just not link the image if it's not connected to a PG comic.
