(Trying to come up with the subject line, I typed and thought out the word "blog" and "blogging" so many times that the word now disgusts me and I think it's fake and isn't a real word, it's a real word, isn't it??)
Anywhoy, I was thinking of starting a blog for general comic related things and also other things that keep me up at night. I know Serge has got one, what about the rest of you? What site would you recommend? I'm leaning more toward Wordpress, though maybe I should give Blogspot a go... probably won't use LiveJournal, unless there's some great selling point that I missed all the years I used it for my personal bullybully garbage.

Re: Got a blog?
For me, it's Wordpress all the way. May be targeted often by spambots, but the excellent antispam plug-ins let perhaps one of them slip through per week on the two blogs I administer, and I'm by no means an expert on setting these things up. Wordpress is easy to administer, has loads of automation and one kablilion plug-ins that will make it dance whatever genre you like.

Re: Got a blog?
I used to have a blog in college, like everyone did in the early 2000s. Then I just kinda stopped cause constantly reliving my rage and anger at a lot of stuff wasn't putting me into a good mental state. Plus there was drama.
In Iraq I kept a journal which was much more therapeutic because I wasn't burdened with self-censorship. One day I'll go back into it and re-read some, but probably only if I do a memoirs.
I don't keep a journal anymore simply because I haven't needed the therapy, though I probably should just in case I ever do actually write a book or anything.

I use tumblr, it's just easy to use and repost from other people's tumblrs.
That being said I really don't use it much, just the occasional rant for nobody to read.

Re: Got a blog?
I have a WordPress blog. I seldom post more there than a rant or a picture to share with people.
I also run my webcomic with a ComicPress/WordPress combination. Sometimes I even update there.

Re: Got a blog?
I used to have one but then I abandoned it when google started tampering with posting interface and integration with every other google site, and in my opinion made it unusable. I suppose I'd have a thing or two to say these days too, but not as often as I used to.

Re: Got a blog?
I do! I haven't updated it in a while, though, due to being swamped. But I hope to update it again soon. It's called the Artropod and it's about art. Meaning it has articles on both my own projects and reviews of art techniques, materials, etc. For instance, I might throw up some wallpapers I made, but I also did a piece on different pen types, which are the most cost effective, and what results they yield.
Re: Got a blog?
I do, but it's not at all comic related, it's about gaming.
Re: Got a blog?
Indeed I have a blog. It only has my comic and the occasional other piece of artwork on there, though. I might edit some of my "book reports" (I've taken to writing short little summaries of whatever books & graphic novels I've read lately) and post those up sometime. Who knows!

Re: Got a blog?
My short-lived webcomic was my blog. I decided that it was too much effort to be another voice in the wilderness and quit publishing it. Much more interested in actually doing stuff than talking about doing stuff. Someday I'd like to do an art blog though.
