But, hey, how do they choose comics for keenspot?

and aren't they going to change the name now that keenspace is comicgenesis?

People can send them links to their comic or people already on Spot can suggest ones they've found. Review time can take a few months, though, and just because you're on Comic Genesis isn't any guarantee you'll get picked. Count Your Sheep got Spotted about a year after it came online because a lot of fans were asking for it.

And no, Keenspot's name won't ever change.

Probably because they'd have to reprint all those comic books that have "published by Keenspot" printed on the covers...

Why the namechange from Keenspace to ComicGenesis then? Just Keenspot wanting to distance Keenspace from the main business a bit?

(hm, speaking of the old name, I notice the Gear Handbook still says 'Keenspace' all over it - not that it really matters)

Brand confusion between the two was the given reason. Admittedly, people did get them mixed up a lot. In fact, they often still do.

What I mean is that we'll have to stop hosting darkencomic.com because Nate and Darren will move the comic over to the 'Spot servers, and DNS gets messy there.

Thankfully Sorcery 101 doesn't have it's own domain, so we're good there.

Anyway, congrats to the two. However, I have a message for Chris:

STOP STEALING OUR GRINDERS!!!!

Dan Shive already fixed up the DNS, I believe. Both darkencomic.com and darken.comicgenesis.com go to the Spot addy now :)
