And then two of them are too busy to work full time on it. So I was down to one person, until RA volunteered to help
My original plan (That I'm still shooting for) is to get enough artists to go on a biweekly schedule.
Hey, I like your comic! Sorry I never read before - I didn't know it was up yet!
i would love to collaborate down the road with someone here,
as in writing a short graphic novella. it makes it easier for both sides
at least i see it that way. so some of yall keep your schedules open,
ha ha.
My best friend Jessica has agreed to be my comic's scriptwriter. (Glee!) And I know that she will always come through on her part. Of course I don't expect her to stick to the schedule, she has her own life after all and we do live in different countries now.
I'd like to think that her job is pretty simple, all she does is a bit of writing and I take care of everything else; art, story and coloring.
I'm bored as poop right now so I'm just going to comment on my own flipping post. You can really tell that the only site I regularly check that is SFW is this one, can't you?
Uh, so I like joining forces with other people because I can't draw comics. Also I've been doing heaps of stuff with the reg'lar Blehkeby artist since... gee, 2000 or so, when we met. I am the unreliable one and she is the reliable one. I am also Her Biggest Fan Evar.
I don't read comics that change style from page to page but I figured I could get away with me own comic it if it changed artists from storyline to storyline. Given that the subject matter is condensed from several different theories and texts (NO REALLY IT IS) I think it is totally reasonable to have a jumping style so long as the characters are consistent in the way they look.
I also think it is totally reasonable to postwhore if you are bored at work and it is even more reasonable to expect that the Washing Up is someone else's problem even if you are the one who got the dishes dirty in the first place.
I do the comic all myelf, and as for what I like better...I have no preference. I've liked comics written by multiple people, and ones drawn by one person.
Ultimately though, if you can't draw or aren't funny it's probably a good idea to get a partner in crime...I wouldn't discourage it at all.
A zoo full of cute yet uproariously funny animals...how can you go wrong?
