Heya, PSY. You're not a n00b, at least, you haven't demonstrated yourself to be one in that post. N00bs are internet idiots, and it doesn't matter how long they've been on a site. It's a derogitory term. YOU are a newb, or a newbie, because you're new to this site. You're only a n00b if you're an idiot, a troller, a flamer, AOL speaker, or some other sort of internet idiot.

Welcome. :D

I do use the motto "I'm a newb to life" though. Explains my personality and outlook on life. :)

HELLO!!!!!
I'm new here! I'm a thirteen year old girl, living sadly, in America! Lol. I'm the only one in my school who really reads manga and Japanese stuff, and one day I want to move to Japan. :shucks: I make ALOT of manga and i've finally decided to start posting my work online. It's a start....
I've never gone to art school so I'm not the best, but I have some skills...I think....
Um...hope to make friends on here! :D

Why does everyone have to be embarrassed about being new, that's all I wonder... heh...

Lessee, Lighty... yep, you sound 13. ;) Don't worry, you'll grow up. At 13... um... well, back at thirteen I was obsessed with Lord of the Rings, actually. I think I was fifteen when I went into a brief anime/manga obsess stage, but where I am we got no TV so it was limited to a few manga I grabbed from the library and how to draw manga books. Ironically, though my art style's more realistic now, I think it really helped to start with that cartoony base. If you study it well you can learn a LOT from manga, so don't let people diss it. Online it's a bit different than 'I'm the only one at school who likes Japanese stuff', it's more like 'if I throw a stone I can hit twelve posters who draw Nurato fanart'. At 13, you're not expected to have art-school skillz, so don't worry. This is the best time of your life to learn. Best of luck and making friends too. Tons of anime fans around and manga fans so you'll probably have no problem with that. :shifty:

Welcome to ComicGenesis.

Irulzlol111.

With a name like that, why are you blushing? :eyebrow:  Welcome to ComicGenesis.

Hello hello ComicGenesis Forum-ers....
I'm new to the creator side of webcomics but I have been an avid fan of the medium for what seems like forever...
My name is Christina, 25 in last semester of college before I graduate with my A.S in social science.....
hhmm how'd i get here, Well....
I had started doodling my own little dairy/drawing excersise "sillies" just for fun (at first) after about a month's worth of comics I've been talked into putting it online...
So here i am.. cautiously putting it out there.. on the bright side.. now i'm even more motivated to improve how my sketchy little comic appears online and i'm also learning how to code html (which i've always wanted to do but never seemed to get around to)
my comic is http://slightlycracked.comicgenesis.com/, check it out if you'd like.. keep an eye out for more website areas (as i code my lil butt off) and improved art (as i run through some of my already drawn strips and work on makeing new ones look more refined for the web)

Hey, sounds cool! You at least got to come up with a catchphrase easily. ;) I like the crazy pink hair on your main character, anyway, best of luck with the HTML. I wouldn't stick with that lettering font, myself (blambot.com!) but if you like it, go ahead.

But yeah, I like the minimalistic colors, very cool.

Welcome to ComicGenesis, best of luck!

Everyone and their MOM does real colors, I find minimalistic or unique color schemes far more appealing. This from someone who colors realistically, mind, but that's the look of my comic. Which might be a good thing for you to consider--I color realisticallyish, and I enjoy your fresh, simple, colorful look. Other people will too. Especially the pink hair in there. Mmm. Gorgeous. It jumps right off the page.

Dang, makes me want pink hair. And I was going to go purple. XP

I've made myself so, yep. I've noticed as a general rule new people like to be greeted and stick around longer when they get a friendly reception, which--when I joined--no one was getting.

So now I'm the unofficial greeter. Hey, new people means more activity, and means more lurking for me to do. I don't post much, I read a lot, and more people posting is more to read for me.

WELCOME TO COM--oh.

Greetings, Koad, I've seen you around. Names, arr. Tiffany and Tiana work, I'll respond to both of them--Tiana's my online name, though I'm trying to use my real name in the comicy stuff just because it's more professional than using my role-play gal's name. :shifty:

T works, and evidently Met works now too. ^_^
