I'm going to admit that I hadn't even heard of marathon until this very thread. From the raves you guys have been giving it though, I'm really curious. I'll take it that I can get this game on the cheap, used at a local E.B. right?sippan wrote:Then you didn't play Marathon? =)DGC wrote:I'd have to say that Bungie's Myth Series was my all-time favorite from that company.

You'll need a Mac to play it. Unless you only want to play through the 2nd 3rd of the story.DGC wrote:I'm going to admit that I hadn't even heard of marathon until this very thread. Game production is expensive, nothing like it used to be, you need big backers and big wallets or you sink. It's a bit of a problem in the industry at the moment, small companys really can't survive and big companies are too complicated to work effectively, in fact the whole industry's on a slump some say. But oh well, things'll pick up again someday. In the meantime I'll just sit warm and fuzzy on UT2004 dreaming up Rats ^___^
Check out http://marathon.bungie.org/story/ for more info on the game, and an extensive analysis of the story, still incomplete after 10 years of hard work among all the fans. For help on how to find the game and play it in the cheapest way possible, ask someone on the forum: http://forums.bungie.org/story/DGC wrote:I'm going to admit that I hadn't even heard of marathon until this very thread.
