Something is obviously not right in your head.

Fortunately, it doesn't affect your drawing hand!

No, you chant it in a mirror and spin around and he's there looking crosseyed and blushy.

you got it :shifty:

I would'nt say plagiarism, i would say defamatory for the artist. Even if he say that's only a parody there's limit between a parody and simply laughing and insulting someone.
He's insulting the work, not the artist personally. And if laughing and insulting someone were illegal all those celebrity gossip blogs, magazines, and tv shows would have been taking down ages ago. Hell, most of the country would have been arrested in high school for that.
My bad, i was thinking the name of the artist was Dominic Deegan and not just the name of the comic  . And yeah, actually that's somewhat different. But it is staying as a copyright infringement.

Don't just copy paste someone else’s work that they put blood and tears into and just defacing it. Why don’t I go out and find a famous painting, and parody it by just spray painting something on it. Gah, it just disturbs me.
Marcel Duchamp is one of the most influential and important artists of 20th century, if not the most influential of all. One of his most important works in Mona Lisa with moustaches drawn on.
I e-mailed the artist of Dominic Deegan, and he replied to say that it's best just to ignore people like that. Thank you for all your replies, and for the link to the other topic where it's discussed in full.
Yeah, ignoring people is about the only thing that artist is good at.

It's always puzzled me how normally genial people here can get so vindictive whenever this artist comes up in conversation. I'm not particularly crazy about his comic personally, but I don't understand how drawing a comic you don't like is grounds for this sort of treatment.

Was there some disagreement in the past that I missed? Some argument?

No, it just... sucks. That's really it.

I mean, plenty of other stuff sucks too, but we can link to Durgan for tangible proof.

Ah yes. The "It was ok to rape her because it was for her own good" comic.

I thought I'd forgotten that one.

Now, I have not read that particular story line, but just from that comic it seems he could have come up with a better solution to that problem. Lying about it for example. Like: "Hey, when we go back out there you have to act like I raped you." or something
