Nah. Three months is a long time in internet land. And it's not like the thread's been shut down yet.

Nah, just a victim of poor timing. Three months ago is just long enough for us to remember that it happened "recently", but we have short enough attention spans that if you had necro'ed the thread it would've been met with even more negativity. Don't worry about it, says I.

However, I do want royalties for using my thread idea. You can pay me in biscuits.

I won't repost my evolution collage pic on here, considering the one I did a few months ago wasn't very well put together. Instead, I'll just mention that my characters are starting to develop and come into their own dramas now.

My entire SITE is filled with changes in style. This is mainly because I suck at composition, and almost all of my comics are rushed. There are a couple in the last chapter that were colored rather quickly by Kurt and Me. Two of the comics in Chapter Two where scanned at low Rez for some reason. I never got around to fixing them. I guess I'd better do that.

I'll fix up a compilation in a few minutes.

A lot has changed since 2005 with my art, and I'm pretty proud of it. I just wish I could stay proud of it, if I just look back a chapter or two I find that I hate the art on that page. It's wierd.

The biggest change I've noticed is that they developed nostrals and wider shoulders to make up for their massive heads.

One of the reasons I started doing a kinda-sorta-daily webcomic was to get back into drawing after a couple of years that a hard and arm injury made drawing stiff, difficult, awkward, slo-o-o-ow, and icky. I've gotten faster at drawing, but as I start re-incorporating details (facial, background) in my art, I slow down again, so... it's evolving. The characters themselves have evolved into a bit more realistic, though I still have my good days and sloppy days. I've been doing the webcomic that's hosted on CG for about a year and a couple of months.

The hero and sidekick:

Two of the ladies:

The boys again, from the third comic, and from very recently:

Mostly, I use a variety of finer pens now....

Since each character in my comics only last for a 20-50 page story, I have a comparision of evolution through each story.

(Warning: Picture heavy  )

That's not actually come from a comic, but doodles i made from the character.

The first one was made 3 years ago, maybe mid 2003-2004
The second was made last year.
The third was made during summer 2006 i thing
The forth was made during October 2007
And the last was made today.

I have a really changing skill and i hate that. Some day i can do great draw, and the next only drawing crap :(

Kame and went

Post by IVstudios »

Kame over the last year and a half. Her hair just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Also, her face tattoo went from being some random shape to a crescent moon.

Claire was only introduced recently, so her character hasn't had time to change as drastically. But it's still noticeable.

I don't understand. There is a limit to how many topics you can post? I'm not trying to be mean or anything, just wondering what's wrong with posting topics if it gets people to participate.

I think I agree with UncaringMachine. I know I came down on Zhongda a while ago for posting a bunch of topics, but I'm regretting that now.

After all, this is a discussion forum, and all of UM's topics have been pertinant to comic discussion. He's not trolling, or begging for attention; in fact, he's not actually doing anything wrong.

It's all in fun. *gives Robiny a cookie*

Certainly not, it's just that people can get a bit antsy when it feels like you're making more threads than you're making posts. Don't worry about it. And with the character evolution one --- before making a thread, just run a search to see if a similar thread has been made semi-recently. That's what the search function is there for after all.
