That is jut... weird. Really. Weird and creepy, those are the only words coming to my mind. I guess it's really the best way to kill him with kindness, like Starline said. That's a very good advice.
And if he really starts stalking you, you can count on the community to back you up! :)

EDIT:
And I really like your style of drawing and storytelling!

Wow. Yeah, that's pretty much insane.

I've had a string of email arguments over my characters with a fan (my philosophy makes its way into my comic in a myriad of subtle ways, and he and I are on opposite ends of the political spectrum), but they were always cordial and fun to read. Never had a crazy email.

This is the kind of stuff that's been going on on my tagboard for a while, though my troll has been too cowardly to post an E-mail address or artwork. So you've at least got something to riff on :P.

I second those who suggested to respond him politely suggesting him to start his own comic. But in a fashion that is apparently-polite and kills him with sarcarsm.

Woah, a post by Phalanx! Yay!
I know i haven't been very active recently but, hell, i haven't seen her in ages.

It's amazes me to no end that some people HAVE NO FUCKING LIVES. The internet has given cowards a place to sling shit with no repercussion and it's REALLY FUCKING PATHETIC AND SO GODDAMN STUPID.

Because their faces are attatched to their stupid oxygen-wasting bodies.

hey ben its been awhile your shitty artwork has improved slightly.but instead of sticking to it you have now gotten others to make up for your shortcomings. i have one question why not at least put the artwork i sent in the fan art section. hell i draw better than you and all your friends put together or maybe you just dont want me to make you look bad. LARRY LEWIS

Ugh. Apparently being a lunatic is synonymous with "illiterate." It seems Larry operates in a grammar and punctuation-free mode. His email reads like a skree from the Uni-bomber.

Frankly, I think any discourse with this individual, including the "killing with kindness" approach, will only encourage him. Blacklist his email address and forget about him.

I agree with adobedragon and the others who recommended the ignore-the-idiot approach. Losers like this guy get off on any attention you give them, be it negative or positive. If you never respond to him he'll probably go away eventually. Or only bug you once every two years. The main thing you want to avoid is devoting any time to him. Your time is valuable; he doesn't deserve it.

A while back, I received an email from a guy that offered to color TTG for us in order to speed up the creation process. Initially, it sounded ok, until he got into this part. Note: This is a quote from his email.
"Yeah. I'd also need to have some creative control over the characters, in particular I'd like to see aboutmoving the situatin they're in to another location. The dungeon setting just screams cliche, so we'd need to change it. I also will be adding a few character, nothing major initially of course but eventually one of the characters will be the main character. Can Michelle draw orcs?"
...

I didn't keep the email where I replied back and told him that there wasn't any way on the face of this planet that I was going to relinquish the comic over to a complete stranger, just because they ask us to. He replied QUITE nastily, but I just deleted it and haven't heard anything back since.

The world's full of idiots. You're best off just marking his email as spam and deleting it entirely.

Feh, that's nothing. I get lots of e-mails from this guy insinuating that I have a small penis and wanting to sell me stuff to enlarge it. And nothing I do ever stops his e-mails from coming in.

Weird, I think I get emails from that guy's brother or something. Only, he thinks my breasts aren't big enough... :(

Hahaha! Yes, because colourist means adding in characters and teleporting people to another setting!

I got an email like that a while ago (well, the bashing kind, not the "help" you draw kind), from someone on these forums. (won't name any names) All I did was bash him into the ground with a well designed rant to thunderous cheers from my fans. :shucks: (I didnt make anything up though. All the stuff I used against him was stuff he actually did, so it wasn't hard).

I think I got lucky though. I figure most people have enough sense to stop the pointless harrassing after it gets old, but apparently your guy doesn't have this kind of common sense. I say you officially declare him as your archnemesis, find out where he lives, and swordfight him at dawn. That solves most problems, unless you're not good at swordfighting.

And if you don't want to do that, block him and ignore him. Don't give him the attention he craves, and he should get tired of wasting his time. (keyword = "should")

I'm in full agreement with the people who say not to give him attention. He's a troll. Trolls get off on people paying attention to them, be it positive or negative. Ignore him long enough and he'll find a different artist to stalk.

I would ignore flaming e-mails like this (and, if necessary, block the sender) the moment I see them. Obviously, getting caught up in an argument won't do any good, and as your comic becomes more popular, more hate mail is gonna come. That's just how it is on the internet. :-?

Just out of curiosity, do you guys find this sort of thing to be a common occurrence? I haven't bothered to put an email address anywhere on my site because I've always assumed I'd get more hate mail than fan mail, and stuff like this seems to be proving me right. Anybody got a different take on it?

I'm pretty lucky when it comes to that. I've gotten e-mail from maybe five different people, but all of it has been positive. People I've shown it to on forums tend to like it, and the worst I've ever gotten was "keep improving on your artwork."

Although I'm paranoid, so when I see 72 hits and only get 2 or 3 responses, I think "70 people didn't like it but didn't want to say anything negative."

Oh, and my e-mail address is featured fairly prominently on my site.
I set my ATM card's number to "0001" because I'm number one!
