Either Kevin and Kell or Sluggy Freelance, I don't remember which came first.
Wait a minute. There was an ongoing "in joke" in John Ringo's "Grimmer than Hell" and later books (a supertank called "Bun Bun") of the Posleen series. One of the books "Hells Faire" had CD which included a short Sluggy story arc ("Game called on account of naked chick.") That was quite a bit before I discovered either series online.

I've always considered Red Meat, in my heart, to be a newspaper comic. Because it is the only arrangement of ink that has any value in our local fascist alt weekly freebie rag. Also, Max Cannon is a local boy!
But if we count it as a webcomic, Red Meat was the first. Goats and Penny Arcade are next, after being shown to me by friends.

Clan of the Cats. It was a fantastic discovery.
And from there into College Roomies from Hell, and from there to insanity. It sure has been a fun trip.

Coloring tutorial It's a little like coloring boot camp. Without the boots.

Have you ever had the urge to strip naked and stare through his windows? With a kinda bug-eyed expression?Sortelli wrote:I've always considered Red Meat, in my heart, to be a newspaper comic. Or leave milk bottles filled with exciting goop on his doorstep?
That's probably just me, isn't it.

I was reading syndicated comics online for a brief time, then I found Residence Life (which doesn't seem to be around anymore
) off of Yahoo. From there to PVP, Penny Arcade, Sluggy and then it all kind of went downhill from there.

First webcomic I actually sat down and READ was Xenith, by Aerie. Fell in love with it, then found out it stopped updating and wasn't going to resume. That darn near killed me, so I set out in search of other such amazing comics, preferably ones that would continue updating.
Came across PA, Dominic Deegan, Gaming Guardians, Road Waffles, Legostar Galactica, Errant Story/Exploitation Now, Sinfest, and a slew of keenspace comics that were abandoned, and eventually pissed me off to the point where I decided I had a story to tell, and I was going to tell it, and see the goddamn thing through.

Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around
Oh Narcissus you petulant child admiring yourself in the curve of my eyes/Oh Narcissus you angel beguiled unsated by self you do nothing but die
