You know what I think of your drawing skills, Sortelli. They're awesome!
But in this case and since you asked for it, my oppinion shall be:
Stick to the C+P.
It's EOI's style and this style is very important for the strip.
EOI has a very good any funny writing and C+P enables you to concentrate on that.
Drawing every strip causes more work and may let you loose interest in doing it.
The chatroom atmosphere works better with the C+P style, too.
I know you need a challenge, but I don't think that EOI is the place for it.
Keep EOI the way it is and use Path's End as a drawing challenge! (Cause PE rocks!)
Of course, this is only MY oppinion, but you wanted to hear it...
Greetings!
The Lars

Wow... thanks for the feedback, everyone.
When I first started doing EOI and came to the forums, cutting and pasting seemed like a HUGE stigma for me to overcome. At least, it felt that way... I realized that people didn't take C&P comics very seriously, that there were a LOT of awful ones, and I got kinda down for awhile.
That was back in the enthusiastic days of youth (May) when I thought I'd storm Keenspot and be famous and rich and thought no one else did cut and paste webcomics. (Stop laughing!
)
I will stick with the cut and paste for now, but I'll be updating the look soon. *smooches for Shannon*

Uh...Sortelli, dude, why can't you do both?
The 'Cut & Paste' really goes well with this theme, IMHO...but damn, boy...you can draw like a mo-fo. I was really impressed with your Anubis strips!
The fact they are icons on a chat board in EOI really is driven home by the fact that they ARE 'static' figures, however...to do a strip like the one above takes a bit of that away...it's hilarious when the static images are changed to suit the story as they are currently. I don't know if you could convey the same idea if you changed the art style so radically.
However, if anyone could do it, it would be you.
Why not do a couple strips this way...see how it goes. Then compare the two styles. See if you can convey the same message with this new approach. Then make your decision...perhaps with a third-party viewpoint...let the chat boarders decide then, after they have more to go on than one strip!

Oik, I downloaded these and dreamed in my half asleep state that I had already thanked you, and I just realized that I did not. THANK YOU! These are so cool... They look like they were taken right off of my character templates. 8)Yanagi-San wrote:Sortelli! I got bored an made an EOI icon collection! Here! For you! Take!
