Got my tax money the other day so I'm a decent chunk out of debt (for now).
Bought my new ipad and have been playing around with digital painting, playing with a couple of good apps but I'm waiting on this fine tip stylus thing I ordered to arrive before I can really get working.

Also my Flying Tigers webnovel just got a nice comment, so that's something.

I was drawing at work between customers this morning and got a bunch of compliments, my favourite of which was:
customer - Did your draw that?
me - Yeah.
customer - *very loud* That's awesome! Love it!

Ah, the small things can make me happy.

I dropped $430 on a plane ticket to Colorado for a 2nd interview. Totally nailed it! Now I got to think about how I'm going to move out west.

I got a full day's sleep for the first time in months.

More importantly I read some inspiring/motivating stuff in a few books by/about people I admire and that has put me back in a happier place than I've been lately.


Also am I the only one that is reminded of those "born again" religious people by this:

Omigod, I'm back! After taking a couple weeks off to drive 1,700 miles (Two 13-14 hour days of driving. I don't recommend this), settling into a new apartment, not having reliable internet for 2 weeks, I'm finally back! Feels good to break out the tablet again, AND I got about 3-4 weeks of webcomic updates to read Yay!

Um...I finished inking my latest comic and ate some rice. Watched some Game Grumps and am now having some tea. These things have made me happy today.

I subbed two days in a row at the high school. Got to see my sister, got to know a few of the kids, and got to hang out with a bunch of teachers. Younger me would be quite suprrised to know that grown-ups gossip and whisper just as bad if not worse than teenagers do, the only difference is they're wrinklier and bigger.

No $$ yet, but it feels so relieving to be working again. And at something that doesn't make me feel like someone drugged me and cut out my soul while I laid in a bath of ice.

I really hope this continues to work out. I know it hasn't even been a full week but I'm really enjoying it so far and feel much better about myself. It's nice to feel tired at the end of the day because you were busy instead of just because you're depressed and want to sleep your life away, you know?

You GUYS i just feel so relieved. This is magnificent.

I finally came up with the solution to a major problem that's been bothering me with my second book. I'm also pretty happy with how the last chapter turned out after not liking the previous two all that much.

(Which was super thrilling, as she was not able to make anything for regular Thanksgiving.)

Went to the Taylor Swift Concert in Brisbane tonight.
Still haven't been lucky enough to meet her yet but I still had fun, can't wait until they release a DVD of this tour.
