I can't remember if I already posted this or not, but I finished graduate school and moved to Buffalo.

Re: Livejournal-style Whining Thread 2.0
My dad had a masters in urban planning. Congrats, gobby, and good luck in your field!
I am probably the only American Soldier upset that the British no longer run the dining facility down in Basra. British food may be considered bad, but unlike American food it apparently doesn't scale down in quality in a warzone. NON-MUSHY PEAS. They had NON-MUSHY PEAS, DAMN IT. And chicken pot pie, and fish and chips, and black currant iced tea, and mint jelly, and BP's brown sauce....
I am so visiting England on one of my 4 day passes upon my return.

ZOMG, I am no longer on hiatus.
I have no job and plenty of time....So I've been working on a novel and started updating again after....1 year of hiatus? Is that possible?
Oh and my nose has been plugged up for what feels like centuries now... Anyone know a good remedy to relief?

I...
...I started playing FF3 again.
I still have my save states from last time, where all I have to do is go kick Kefka's ass and I'm done, but.. well, I'd rather play the whole thing again. It was fun.

Fuck me. I set my alarm for seven so I can go to class. I suddenly wake up at 2pm, dont remember shutting off the alarm, and I feel, honest to God, like a bus hit me, my balance is off, nausea, etc, better not be sick

I had a similar thing happen to me. I set my alarm for 7 or something for my final, and I woke up at 8:45. Literally, I was shitting bricks sprinting to my final, and I missed my interview for passing spanish, but because she was between interviews, she let me do mine. Literally, the LUCKIEST thing that ever happened to me. Sucks like a bitch when it happens though.Killbert-Robby wrote:Fuck me. I set my alarm for seven so I can go to class. I'm tired of this sort of situation:
"Hey, want an extra minute for yourself? Too bad, pansy! HOMEWORKHOMEWORKHOMEWORK!!!!"
I think I might be ready for summer vacation.

Stress relief is stabbing expired saline solution bags.
Oxyacetylene is crazy shit, but maintenance has too much of a smile when they suggest using it.
The more time I spend down in the motor pool, the more I really want those new boots I ordered back in March to get here.
Fuck its hot here.

A trick I heard of from some medics from way back when was they took refrigerated saline solution bags and gave themselves cold IVs.Fuck its hot here.

Re: Livejournal-style Whining Thread 2.0
We have a trick too. Take the compressed air hose, insert into pants, press button. Mostly it doesn't bother me, I'm pretty good on heat what with the Southern California upbringing and I acclimatize well, but its that it stays hot for a long time can be irritating. I don't mind the mid day or afternoon heat. It's the 8AM and it feels like an oven, or 10PM and still 100 degrees. That kills me psychologically.KWill wrote:A trick I heard of from some medics from way back when was they took refrigerated saline solution bags and gave themselves cold IVs.Fuck its hot here.
