Updater troubles...any definite reason?

I guess it'd be kinda pointless to think there'll every be an answer to the original thread, eh?

The threads I start always seem to be derailed within the first three posts. This one I don't think even made it to one. I think I derailed it myself...

That's what you get for using coulourful language, at least you restrained yourself in the last post, I'd have called them a bunch of Galahas.
I don't know what's up with the updater though, it works alright for me when I trigger it manually.
