I'm not sure why it was entirely necessarily to bring it up in the first place, CW. It could have been left at "...it's gonna be hard to find a publisher who hasn't published something I disagree with, that I wouldn't want associated with me". I'm quite certain it could have been left at that the subject would have never come up, especially since you even anticipated animosity toward your thoughts in the first place.
Edit: And I know nothing of publishing, but others in this thread seem to have a good idea. You can always ask faub for tons of information about self-publishing, he's got issue one of his comic printed out, cut, stapled, and distributed by himself. There are also a few people on Space that I do believe used services like Lulu or some of the others mentioned already.

I agree , nobody twisted your arm and made you write that hateful thing .
I think you owe everyone in this forum an apology.
The entry was a bit offending, yes - but that seems a bit excessive, hun. If we want others to be more tolerant of our content, maybe we should be more, well, forgiving as well? Maybe.
I wanted to be HONEST that I have a problem. You know? HONESTY is important to me. Pretty dang important. So I'm sorry that I feel that way, about being HONEST, and I'm sorry for believing that you people actually liked me, and that you wouldn't treat me like shit just because I don't conform to the "Oh, let's not say anything that would make anybody feel bad"
People make crappy comments about my religion all the time. Do you think I like hearing people spit on what I care about?
Do you want me to apologize for being a Christian and not wanting to compromise on either the way I treat people or my religion? WHAT THE HELL WOULD BE ENOUGH IF SAYING THAT I"M SORRY DOESN"T CUT IT???

Ok, fine. How much do I have to do to make it clear that I'm sorry?
Because you've got me crying here and I don't know what to do. I don't know anymore

Hey, I'm not out crying for blood. I like CW and the comment wasn't made for malicious purposes. It's a sensitive subject and all I was trying to get at was that it was most likely just a lapse in judgement.
Ninja edit: Written before CW's post.

CW? Take a couple hours away from the forums and do something distracting. A movie is a good idea. If not, some random TV. Or a good book.
It's just, if you don't, you'll probably go over and over this in your mind and your subconscious won't know it's not really happening over and over again* and it'll just get worse and worse.
It's not arm-around-the-shoulder comforting for me to say it, but it is 100% practical and it does work. Go and do something distracting. Something where thinking about this isn't an option because you get too involved, and then come back later if you want to.
I think I'm just upset because so much of the rest of my life is steaming crap, having here get screwed up kicks the scab off everything else.
That and I hate offending and hurting people. I can't stand doing that.

If you don't want to use a publisher you disagree with... don't. It's that simple. If you can't find a publisher, do it yourself. (If you decide you disagree with yourself and don't want to be associated with yourself, you're pretty much screwed.) Self publishing has its good points and bad points.
Good: You don't have to worry about the publisher publishing something you don't agree with. You have complete control over the quality of the print. People aren't going to try to screw you on sales. You get to keep the difference between what you paid to print and what you sold the book for. (Typically you double your costs to determine the sale price. Half your print run is devoted to paying for the print run. Half the print run is total profit.)
Bad: You're in business with yourself. Printing costs money that you want to recover in profits. Problem is, you have to do all your own distribution and advertising to make the money. The distribution and advertising also costs money which you're trying to make back in sales. It's VERY difficult to make a book pay for itself without a huge sales force backing you. The first week or so on the shelf is important because that's when people will notice you and buy you because you're new. My comic sold 4 issues in the first week. It's sold 1 in the following 5 months. When I was selling them at a convention, I sold 20 copies, paying for the entire print run of the book but getting nowhere near paying for the trip to Chicago, the room I shared and the table at the con.
$50 to print + $70 room + $50 table + $10 synopsis printouts + $3 table cloth + $1 business cards + $40 gas + $60 food = $284
sold 25 comics at $3 each = $75. I'm still roughly $210 in the hole for my printing and con trip.
The moral of this story... If you want to make money for your family, get a job that someone will pay you steady income for. Print your comics/books on the side and sell them whenever you can for some extra cash. Don't rely on the cash until you get a large and consistent following.
Sorry, that's just the way it is. People don't want to pay artists. Whether you write, draw or play music.
not to break in or anything, but CW does have a point. I don't know how many times I've been offended because of people making fun of Christianity here on KS. I understand where she's coming from and I don't think that she meant to hurt anybody. she was just stating an opinion that only effects her and no one else.
I don't see why she should apologise at all. She wasn't deliberatly attacking any one.
I'm glad 90's style forum signatures don't exist anymore.
