I'm guessing some people still like to scare babies, too.

Well when the FreeMasons/Illuminati and corrupt oil companies and corporations run the show...not much can stop the process!

Not if it's done creatively.

D'oh! It's hard to believe Jesus is Bush's favorite person...I dont think Jesus would go around invading countries out of broedom.
Because the number of people who
A)draw comics
B)form political opinions based upon punk songs and word of mouth and
C)are 14 years old
is a suprisingly small number.

I leave the webcomic community for nearly a year, that should have been enough time for pockybot to come up with -one- thoughtful or intellegent thing to say.

That wasn't really the question. Trends don't have anything to do with quality (unless the trend is an anti-quality movement, like Bad Painting and, to a degree, punk rock). If more comics were anti-Bush, than there certainly would be more lousy comics that were anti-Bush. Maybe you should've asked, "Why do all these comics that criticize President Bush suck?" instead of "Why is everyone too scared to criticize President Bush?"
In either case, creativity would dictate that starting a serious project in opposition to the Bush administration at this point would indeed be pointless and redundant, even if it were creative. It's been done, and there are other issues that are far more interesting than one-sided political commentary.

Thank you for informing me that one central theme of my comic is a waste of time.

Or did I miss it?
*Does a double-take*
SORTELLI!!!! *glomps*

That's why I dont make of the moment political commentary in my comic.
I reference the more overall historical sense of things. I have a comic that references coca-Cola, ford and IBM's well documented role in the Holocaust, as well as the CIA introducing crack into poor blakc ghettos to fund contras. The super villians in my comic in a more fanciful turn, is called "Evildoer Inc"...comprised of Bush, Cheney/Halliburton, the FreeMasons and Illuminati, corrupt corporations and Mickey Mouse. I liek to take a more absurdist approach to political or hot button issues. I even protest slave labor made mall crap in a recent comic.
To simply have an archtype religious character, or Mr. abortionman just doesnt really pack a punch.

Eh. My opinion's never stopped anything else, so don't worry about it too much.
