Well, we're fast approaching April with still no definite-agreed-upon date. Official votes so far:

If you haven't voted, please speak up and let's see if we can't finally decide on a date. If you only had passing interest and now definitely cannot attend, there's no need to reply saying so...let's try to get a list of people who can make it.

My suggestion is to let this go for maybe one more week, then just make a cut, pick a date, then move on to deciding where to meet and what to do.

Well, we've waited long enough. With only 3 official votes, I guess we can declare Saturday, July 9th, 2005 as our first(?) annual East Coast Keenspace Get-Together thingy. (Unless Sunday works better for people...speak up!)

Kris, if you still want to make an official webpage for it, go ahead. If not, I don't see why we can't continue to use this thread.

Everyone else, you had your chance to say something! I'm hoping most of you who expressed interest live close enough that it doesn't really matter to you which day we pick...and that now that we've picked one, you shouldn't have any problem showing up.

And bear in mind, I'm only making a decision for the sake of making a decision. While we still have a couple months to make changes, bear in mind some of us have to book hotel rooms >_<

They've started up the Carousel on the mall. There's also a great big hawk slaughtering innocent squirrels and ripping into their bloody corpses right in front of all of the kiddies in line.

Anyway, is this supposed to be a one day event or are people going to want to do things on the evening of the 8th or on the 10th?

Considering how long it took us just to pick one day, I doubt we'd manage to stretch it out any further. I figured this would be just a day (or at least, an afternoon) thing. I, for one, plan on spending a few days in the area, so I suppose if other people are too, and you REALLY want to spend that much time together, then maybe we can work something out. But let's just focus on the 9th for now.

Has anyone given any more thought as to what we're actually going to do? I know there have been plenty of ideas suggested already, but if you have something specific in mind, now's the time to speak up. Or are we just going to pick a spot to meet and wing it from there?

I do like the Mall/sightseeing/food option. I'm also planning on at least staying two days to make it worth the drive. Still not sure I can make it, but that's the plan.

Kitty doesn't like Missouri...

I'd like to attend and might do so next year, but I have a 12-hour drive to a wedding the following week. I like long drives, but gaaaaaahhhh...
