Hey anyone actually have a fanbase or website shrines for their comic? I always find those amusing to look at. I just recently discovered IftP actually has responsive readers.... All three of them, and yay, one of them is myself. Okay, yes, we haves no lives Kris. *Takes self out for ice cream*

EDIT: BTW, The X Review is updating this Saturday night.

I always estimate we have...about five readers. Five is my magic number 'cause it's also the number of comics I always leave at the comic store to sell. Heh. :0

My default number is three . . . even though my recent plea for response indicates I have at least six. Heh . . .

Judging from e-mails and feedback I have about 5 fans, and I love them all in the creepy webcomic artist kind of way..not in the stalker type..I better stop talking or I'll lose all 5. One of these days I'd love to stumble on a fansite for my comic, but the likelihood of that just isn't feasible.

I went and signed up for thewebcomiclist and OnLineComics.. and I've had a couple random people add me to their msn lists since then.

So maybe I've got a fanbase of.. lessee.. ten?

I do have readers, but I'm not sure if I actually have fans... Or maybe I just don't know how to tell the difference, if there is one.

Hmm...well...counting those who've actually said something to me...um...that'd be...yeah, between five and ten, but I'm not certain there...bloody hell, I don't even think my family reads our comic...

Oh, and that's just readers...the only fan I have is in the corner of the lounge room and is basically ignored until the middle of summer...which isn't really that far away now...

I think I have one regular reader... and that is my best friend. Screw you all and your 'fans'.

Three nice fan instances for me ... one was a person asking permission to use my picture of the Prioress from the Canterbury Tales in a school project ... one was a poor confused person thinking I really was one of those online werewolf people - granted, he was still friendly after I disillusioned him ... and the other was a random person wishing me best of luck getting back off of hiatus. It's just little things like that that make me feel all sorts of cool.

Yep! Not all comic related, though. Someone's writing a game based on one of my stories and there's a fellow writer who effectively writes fan fiction (if you stretch the definition slightly). Someone in America used a made up science fiction theory of mine in a thesis and people still send in home made text-based Conversations Within Elsydeon.*

I cheat, though. My comic is based on something with an existing fanbase.

Got readers, got fans. No shrines. I think you have to be alittle bit more widespread for that.
