West coast keeners

Post by MomoChan »

I am aware there was an East coast Keen-b-que kinda thing.
I am also aware of the fact Comic-Con International, the largest west coast convention currently beign held in the San Deigo Convetion center July 22-25

http://comic-con.org/

Hmmm... Can we see where I'm goign with this?

ANyone who is already planning on goign to this- please post here- if enough keens are going- it would be interesting to pick a meeting point and possibly form a massive herd, at the very least everyone can bring diffrent snacks and have a food swap. Or soemthing. Mostly the something. Hey- it's comic con. You don't need a reason to go- but I though this might be added incentive

WTF?

There was an East Coast bbq thing?

You couldn't mention the "we're in the damn center of the country" thing?

Man, you're just mean.

I'd make it, but Origins is closer and around the same time.

Wait? They're having a 'middle of the country thing'? I'm surprised, I thought the greedy East and West Coasters kept all the comic cons for themselves. Yes, I'm mean sometimes.

I'll be at the San Diego Comic con. :)

I was there last year too. The keenspacers all gathered infront of the keenspot table on the floor and we swapped sketchbooks. :)

It was fun.

I'm not from Europe, but it's still quite a trek.

True, but remember that the last time Europe tried to go to mars, they crashed. And they drive on the wrong side of the road too. Do you really want 'em trying to get to the US?

I live on the West Coast, and it's still too far away. I live near Seattle, and to get to southern CA, you either hop a plane or pack up for a long road-trip.

Plus I don't have any money.

Wait, what? The right side of the road is the wrong side now? Jeezus, almost an entire continent moves with the times and then whop! Changes! When on earth are people going make their minds up! That's it, I'm driving in the middle of the road from now on. Hurrah for motorbikes!

No nono, the Right side of the road is the Right side to be in. The roads in Europe are faulty and only have left sides, which explains why you drive on the wrong side. If you drove on the right side right now, you'd be on the left, you see, and that's wrong. So once your roads are upgraded to have right sides, you'll suddenly be driving on the right side of the road, which to you is wrong. Be sure to rotate your tires, otherwise you'll have to drive backwards to properly utilize your roads after the upgrade.

So waitasec here; France developed Right Sided driving, America then followed and then Napolean took over lots of land and most of Europe followed in turn. Then we (the Brits and some Prussians) kicked him in the balls and kept our left.

So somewhere during the time of ball kicking France turned Left (or maybe America went Left?) and then the standard's right (the standard being France) suddenly became Left which is wrong and not Right?

I'm confused.
