OK, I did one as well...

<A HREF="http://www.olywa.net/cook/pictures/heroine.jpg">
see it here</A>.

I'd like it to be called "The Heroine". "The Warrior" would be my second choice, if someone's already snagged the first.

Called "The Stapler"

On account of a true event.

My friend "Hemi" works as a... security person at a bar/nightclub. One day while he was stapling flyers up, a customer was bothering a waitperson at the front door. Seems the patron had left his hat or something stupid in the place the previous night, and wanted to come in to look for it. The place wasn't open yet, so the waitperson told him he would have to come back in about an hour.

The patron was persistant and began bad-mouthing her, even though she was trying to be polite.

Hemi sort of "went off". He smacked the person in the forehead with the stapler, leaving a staple actually sticking into the person's skin on his forehead. The staple didn't do any real damage, and there was only the tiniest droplett of blood, but the patron got pretty well freaked-out.

Hemi told the guy "HEY! She said come back later! Now get the f*ck out!" and shoved him out the door. The patron left dazed and blabbering. Hemi went back to stapling as if nothing had happened.

He told me about it later and seemed a bit depressed. He lamented that the rest of the staff were now calling him "The Stapler".

A nickname that has "stuck" to this day. (snork snork!) :P

[edit] P.S. Now that I've done this example, does it look OK in color? I'm not sure. Should I do my whole comic in color or does this look weird? [/edit]

I went to his club tonight to ask if he was OK about me doing this. Odd stuff cause I need his permission for certain things. He gave me free beer adn smokes. He said it's all cool, no matter what. I don't remember anything more cause I'm so trashed. But it's accurate, so it's OK.

I did mine too. (Finally!)

http://thejaded.keenspace.com/workspace ... ysClow.jpg

It's called:

The Thespian

(No, I wasn't going to call it The Jaded. That would be just tacky ;) )

Thanks Brockway! :D Now that makes my day!

I kind of like this one too, even if there's a lot more CG in it than usual. I miss drawing Lysanne. My current storyline doesn't see much of her.

Since the Keencaptor thing seems predominantly fantasy, I thought I'd give it something that sounds a little less modern. Besides, 'Thespian' just sounds so much cooler than 'Stage-actress'.

I can't wait till RPin puts her in a card! *wiggles in excitement*

Hamster, they are actually too small. Didn't you look at the size requirements? You must leave some free space on the top of the figure or it will get cropped by the frame. Also, it's only one submission per comic, so you must choose which one you want to become a card. Also, don't forget to tell me the name of your characters, seeing as how it doesn't feature the comic yet.

Please fix your pictures and post again, ok?

Phalanx's just knocks my socks off. I'd like to see everyone else's work. So RPin, are you doing anything like a page on your site with all the cards displayed? It would be a cool way to view them all. :)
(disregard this if you already are because I never read anything)

And here's <A HREF="http://www.olywa.net/cook/pictures/the_ ... g">mine</A>.

Turned out pretty well, although I should have noticed that little green ball at the bottom and done something different with the sword...

Thanks again, RPin, for all your hard work on this project.

Again: I'll make a website. In fact, it's prototype shall be ready in the next few days.

And no need to thank me. It's all been a pleasure.

Actually, after reading some of the questions and the disclaimer I've put on the wallpaper, I think I should clear somethings concerning copyright.

First of all, I'll not do anything with any of the wallpapers besides my own one. I will not put any of them for download. They are yours to do anything you want. If you want to enable them for download on your page, that's fine. But it's up to you. On the site I'm doing, they won't feature for download.

You'll notice that on the wallpaper it's only clear that the character on the card is copyrighted to you. That's not true. The artwork is still copyrighted to you as well, and only you. And the card as a whole, too. Which means: you are not allowed to do anything with the template I created, but you are allowed to do anything you want with your own card, because each one of you own the full copyrights of your own cards as a whole.

Incidentally, I got some people asking me if they should plug me on their sites. I thank those who already did it from the bottom of my heart, but if you think I'm doing this for the publicity, please don't submit. Those who put a link to my site on their pages did not do it by my request. It's not a requirement, and never will be.

[EDIT] And I misspelled a lot of you guys names lately... Sorry

Sorry for calling you a crook, Robert...

Sorry about that, I'll just pick this one. *thinks it's the right size now*

Oh and her name is Kadira. Ellan. As for the other one. Sure his name has been mentioned, it's a simple name, it's David. ^_^
