You can remap the buttons on all of the X Series games, because they all allowed it when they were originally released. It's in the options menu. It's the classic series collection that doesn't let you remap, and the default Gamecube controls are terrible (PS2 is fine, and isn't missing content like the GC version, that's the version you want to get).

He actually talked you out of it because he can't stand to see you happy.

I went on a buying binge tonight, and bought all of the Lego games I wanted (LoTR, Harry Potter, and Batman) as well as Batman: Arkham City and Mass Effect Trilogy. Also got Castle Crashers. They were all on sale in various spots, so I did it. My dad decided the other day to drag out the old SNES so he could play Pilot Wings. Now, between our old 16-bit collection, the games I've just bought, and the games I'm currently playing (mostly Skyrim and Oblivion) I think I'm more set on games than I have ever been in my life. Digital download sales are really dangerous.

Yeah, never good news for cartoonists.

Decided to play through Gauntlet on NES for no good reason. When I close my eyes I see brown squares with horned skulls on them.

I just got Spec Ops: The Line, and while it looks just like a generic military shooter on the outside, it's one of the most brilliant, disturbing, emotionally draining narratives I've ever played on the inside. It completely tears apart the whole Modern Warfare jingoist bullshit that's been so hot these days, and I love it for that. I don't want to spoil anything, but suffice to say there are some shocking, horrible things you see/do in the game that provide a more "realistic" depiction of the madness of war than any game I've played in the genre. There are no mournful trumpets, no heroes, and the only American flags you'll see are hung upside down. The gameplay is pretty mediocre, and it might make you hate yourself and your fellow man, but it's still an experience unlike any other, and I'd definitely recommend it if you can find a copy.

I've had an itch to play some Oblivion again lately, but it's really just a trap until I have more pages in the buffer. =/

Just found a copy of Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga on Ebay. Got sick of waiting for Nintendo to release GBA games on the eShop.

Dark Souls went on sale on Steam right in time to coincide with spring break. Needless to say...

Once in awhile, I find myself putting on Skyrim after playing Dark Souls, just so I can feel powerful and competent.

I watched someone play through Metroid and Y's 1 & 2 on youtube because I was too lazy to hook up the old systems.

I did just get the new tombraider. had to blow the dust of the 360 and was surprised it still worked. its like picking up a crack pipe after years of rehab.

I finished Neverwinter Nights 2 and the ending made me want to break things. Playing The Witcher now, much more satisfying.

Kickstarter is turning me into a hipster (moreso) with cool games like Road Redemption, Divekick, and Shadowrun Returns.

Also 16-bit games cost too much. Super Castlevania 4 is a $45 game? Get outta here.
