Look down. I'm on a horse.

I really need to get my act together to finish my entry. I'm done with my Formal Wear pic, but I haven't done anything else for it in a while. I haven't drawn anything for RTP for a while.

When is the deadline? After 19 pages, the main characters in my comic have finally met (well, tomorrow they'll meet), so I'm rarin'' to go.
However, no "things" have appeared in the comic yet, unless you count the fellow reminiscent of Gendo Ikari or a cereal box, so I guess I'm out in that category :D

*edit* nevermind. Found the deadline. DERP :shucks:

I should have mentioned the cereal box is pretending to be a normal cereal box, at least in the few frames it appears (maybe it'll show up during an acid trip). What company in their right mind would make a cereal called "Magic O's"? Obviously the cereal named itself. It also would explain why Jim doesn't eat it with milk...
A cereal box in swimming trunks or a bow tie and top hat do sound amusing... I just might do that instead of the second main character -although I am planning both a beach storyline and a formal wear storyline featuring both main characters... I might have characters for all 3 categories! Now to start practicing drawing male characters and cereal boxes :D

I already have my entry ready from last year (Frieda), but I couldn't decide who to choose for the male half of the entry (and what he'd wear). Got it now; it'll be Freddy. Off to the drawing table I go...

Ooh, I remember the pageant! I kind of want to enter a Mr. from my new comic, but I don't think formalwear exists in his universe. Also I haven't drawn him shirtless yet. I guess it has to happen at some point.

So, coming home from college has permitted me some free time: time to work on an entry and begin to get my comic out of its hiatus of derp.

Image
In case you're wondering, the comic begins in early April 2031. I need to make a better website so people can know these things

I like the style of these pictures. I wish I could do weekly pages like this... 45 minutes inking+20 minutes drawing+20 minutes for background = 85 minutes per frame (depending on detail, some don't require complex backgrounds)... I think its doable

I have 5 days off now. Hopefully I can get some more work done on my entry. When you see it you'll see why it could possibly take this long. It wont even help me to win.

As a side note, to get as much character as possible into those questions I asked the person this character is based on.

You know, I always loved this contest and never got around to participating. Shame I no longer have a comic. Not that I was ever good at updating anyway haha

May 31 is the deadline, eh? Damn, that's coming up quick! I better get crackin'. Frieda is a definite, since I just missed the train last year. Freddy is a little more iffy. If I can't get both, I'll go with the one.

I'm also working on the next ep of Critters right now, and was looking to finish and release this weekend. This looks to be a very cartoony week for me indeed. Must...stay...off...Facebook... :ick:

Hey... uhh... would anybody be opposed to me pushing back the deadline to June 9th? :P I'm leaving for vacation the day the contest was originally supposed to be finished and I'm not sure if I'll have time to make the nice voting threads.

It also gives people a little more time.
