The "you need to see this" thread
Hey, remember a while ago where we had a thread where people would post links to cool videos they found? Let's do that again.
I have been wasting my day watching "Dick Figures" [NSFW]. I especially can't get enough of their Music Video [also NSFW].
So what have you guys been wasting your time watching?

Russian Unicorn is the one thing that I've recently been watching over and over.
And thank you for pointing me towards the Dick Figures vids, I guess I didn't need any of the next few days to get anything done. Those are HI-larious.

Man that Mondo cartoons vanity card gives me flashbacks... I didn't even know that company still existed. Ah the early days of multimedia internet.

Speaking of Superman:

I couldn't stop watching this when I first found it...
You're probably ready to murder me after that...I apologize.

Re: The "you need to watch this" thread
I got a lot of enjoyment out of this after finding it on a capcom blog post (and I had to watch it closely to realize the audio had been subbed out, it's a very good match), but unless you're familiar with obscure SNES games you might not get a lot out of it.
As far as subbing out movie audio with obscure game noises is concerned, this is also hilarious if you're familiar with fighting games.

Well aparently now this thread is hit by Godwon's law so I'll have to lock it.

And now, a slow-motion tour of London shot from inside a bus.
I've always wanted to do something like this. I can't imagine how many hours he had to ride the bus to get all that footage...

An awesome 30 year tribute / rock ballad to the Super Mario Bros series. This one shouldn't require you to be a total nerd to enjoy it, though it couldn't hurt.

This one is short, but really cool if you are into science type stuff. Scientist think they have figured out the secret of ball lightning, and have even managed to recreate it in a laboratory. Apparently, this sort of thing is so simple you can do it wearing flip-flops.

If I can offer a suggestion... It might look better if you either made images purely for the video (/extra art for your site) or taken from the comic but single frames without the words. As it is I didn't feel drawn into it. When your actually reading a comic you can look past the panel edges and the speech bubbles because you're getting into the story, but if you just show someone a picture of a page from a comic, it just looks like a comic. If that makes sense.
Keep wanting to make a RTP video but I don't know what to use as music that wont infringe copyright. I already have one YouTube banned from Germany.
If my old computer worked I'd be busy composing a theme song on my ancient version of Cubase, but it doesn't seem to want to work on my wifes laptop.

You could ask around Kongregate collabs forum for a free song. Game creators might know a thing or two about robotic pirate tunes...
