Link?
They still owe me. It should get done around November or December, like they usually do. Since I haven't heard back from them since our most recent email exchange, I don't know much more than that.
Yeah, BEC actually laughed at me when I mentioned wanting a link in chat! Can you believe that? Pffsht like I even read Penny Arcade. ;) Speaking of chat, I talked to Vort about getting in on some of that D&D action, and I think I might start sitting in if only to hang out and get a feel for things.

A perfectly good use of your time! I approve. ;)

Mwahaha! Tero's crime wave begins!

Yeah, you're not getting away THAT easily! Unless, of course, I'm the only one that recognizes you. Then it's gonna be a pretty boring manhunt since I'm way too lazy to make chase. ;) How fast are you, Cope? I'll supervise.

But seriously: HNTRAC was a pretty big influence on High School Junior Self, so I naturally remember your name fairly well. Also, your art style is as distinctive as anyone's. Hmmph!

I'm also considering changing my avatar around. On one hand, I'm a lot less nervous and tweaky than I used to be (at least now that my thesis is done), but on the other I'm pretty lazy. For the moment, laziness is winning out.

Every now and then we still get on a pretty good roll. There hasn't been much hard critiquing going on for quite a while, and there hasn't been a whole lot of drama either. I'm very content with that. It's nice to have a place on this vast virtual frontier where I don't have to wear helmets to protect my forehead from me smacking it in disbelief and/or frustration.
Yeah. :) I could wax eloquently for quite some time on how the ComicGenesis forums in their heyday effected the skills, egos and self-esteem of a significant subset of budding webcomic artists, but I think it'd be beating an undead horse, which is worse than a dead horse because it can bite back (and infectiously at that). I'll just leave it at this: I learned a lot about the world, both during and in retrospect.

Oh and by the way:
jesusabdullah wrote:(what, like, back in 2004-2007 or so right?)
No, that's incorrect past me! I clearly joined the forums in early 2005 (though I lurked for some months prior), and I'm almost certain I was still active as late as mid-2008!Sept. 2009! Though, I seem to be having difficulty seeing all my olde posts out-of-context. Oh well!

I guess so: Red Alert 3 (PS3 port), Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2.
I also worked on SimAnimals and My Secret World, but i normally don't mention those.

In Italy there's little to no opportunities in the games industry, plus, the whole country is like a sinking ship thanks to a government that's been a sad joke since day one. If you want to make an honest living, then you see no future there.
Tho, latest events are showing the famous light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe things will finally change.
I've reasons to be hopeful, but it's still to early to tell.

Hell yeah, man.
I'm actually thinking of taking some skydiving classes this summer to make up for the too much time spent on the ground.

My housemate is a huge fan of the Dragon Age games actually! What parts were you responsible for? That's sweet by the way.

That thing how I failed to get any recognition whatsoever in such a long haul is also very admirable.
But I seriously never quite understand people who draw, draw, and then just stop drawing. It's not like it's a choice, man. You can't stop breathing, can you?
He's like a teenager: He wants to hang out, but he's always talking back and not doing what I say. At least I don't have to cook for him.
Oh I know. My hamster used to always burrow my car without asking.
I still don't know.

I've been hearing about it, wondering whether things are really as bad as the rumor has it.

Because if you can't fly in a perfectly good airplane you may as well jump out of one.

Interesting choice, given that they have the fewest rotary wing aircraft of all 4 branches. One of the main points established during the creation of the Air Force is that their field would be fixed wing air craft, and that Army Aviation would only consist of rotary wing.

I recommend he consider joining the Army, Navy, or Marines unless he's getting a written guarantee that he'll be a helicopter pilot by the USAF. Also, with the exception of Army UAV pilots, you must have a college degree and a Warrant or Officer rank to fly. If he's planning to be a pilot as a career, warrant is the best option but will require him to enlist (though I've seen Officers resign their commission to go Warrant) and serve for a few years before submitting a packet. If he's got any questions about the process, I'd be happy to answer them.

I honestly don't know why he picked air force over army (or navy). He's had other people suggest army to him, I know, since one of his recommendation letters was written by the ROTC guy on-campus (who's army). FWIW, he does have a college degree (bachelors in psychology) and I'm pretty sure he's going officer (he talked about going warrant for a while there).

He's on a motorcycle trip right now, but next time I run into him I'll ask him about it maybe. You know how some people don't like being second-guessed though, right? He's made up his mind by now.

I deal in localization, so i can help only if you're mothertongue in one of the following languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Polish, Russian, Hungarian, Swedish, Suomi, Turkish or Portuguese.

On an other note, this is likely my last yer here, and i'll later move to an other videogame company (and, subsequentrly, to an other country), so...
