Facts:

I'm a BIG underground cartoonist. BIGGER than any of the people trashing my work, who have accomplished jack shit. I've been featured on some very well known websites. My fans include some popular comics authors. The people trashing my work have no fans.

The only 'Prima Donna' shit is coming from the pretentious twats who decided to crash my thread even though NO ONE FUCKING ASKED THEM TO.

Seriously, who decided to let assholes jump into a discussion that they were not required to be a part of? I've gotten sensible, respectful comments from people who are not assholes. All of this disrespect comes from people I'VE NEVER FUCKING HEARD OF.

Oh my god, guys, I'm so torn. On the one hand, trollbaiting is uncouth, and taunting people who have issues is very much in bad taste. On the hand, I think there must be some deep seeded human urge to smack down pretension when it rears its head.

So there SHOULD be a big 'do not poke the troll' sign over this thread...but I find myself leaning towards the dark side even though I know that. There's a button and I can't help pressing it. Siiigh. We'll, I'll try and keep it short.

1. Some of this could seriously be lines for a movie villain. At least, that's the only time I've ever heard anyone say 'your career is dead! It's over!'. It's like saying 'you'll never work in this town again!' followed by country-drama music.

2. If you were as big as you say you wouldn't be on CG. Professionals don't really use this service, but rather people who do it for fun. The mirror trick won't work here- we know we're not professionals. We also know that you aren't.

3. Your comic is mighty low in the various web rankings for having the millions of hits you say it has.

4. If your comic is not a furry comic, then why is it listed on WikiFur?

5. lots of claims with no specifics=not credible. famous people ever link your comic? Didn't think so.

6. Seriously, dude, chill. Accept your comic for what it is and you'll be a much happier person. Yeah, people here are teasing you (largely with the truth, which is probably why it's so galling) but rising to the bait means that you're not happy with your comic the way it is. Think you need to come to terms with that.

Same reason why Bugs Bunny and Snoopy are on there, furries are interested in anything with anthropomorphism.

I have a website on Comic Genesis because I refuse to pay for services better applied through free websites. Paying for a website does not make you a professional. I am far more professional than a lot of comics authors I've seen who are not on CG.

I don't namedrop people for credibility because I don't need to. People aggravatingly diss me to increase their fame. It's petty, stupid bullshit.

I state that dissing MSP is a career killer because it's true. People who have dissed me in the past have lost fans. When you have no fans to begin with, it's a bad idea to go against the biggest publisher in underground comics.

Web rankings are based in votes, not website visits. Since I am not actively asking for votes, I have gotten less votes than I have in the past, but the ranking for Horndog has gotten very high - at one point, it was the 6th highest rated on WebcomicZ.

Anyone who accuses me of trolling is a troll themselves. Just look at the facts. I'm a major underground comics figure. The people who trash me have no fans.

There's nothing offensive about any of the language I've used in my comic. People say things like "fag" sometimes because this is how the characters talk. I am in no way referring to or disrespecting homosexuals, so there is no reason to be offended.

Granted, I may be a bit spoiled having spent my adolescence on a forum with a much more stringent debate culture, but I'm not used to taking posts on a forum at face value. People say or post a lot of things; without evidence it really doesn't mean much. All you've been offering as support is your word for it and the word of one party in a dispute isn't really enough. It sort of requires independent verification to lend weight to someone's words.

You got really defensive about it and started calling people names. Naturally that means that people will be disinclined to be civil towards you and it escalated.

I didn't start calling people names. Even after others started calling me names, I tried to keep my cool, and I pretty much managed to do that, except for a little bit more recently. That I managed to stay leveled for so long directly contradicts the attempted presentation of me, which is why I noted the trolling in this thread.

As I said, this is the conclusion my characters jump to. I believe there is a political grudge here because the content does not violate any rule of the group or website, and no submissions were rejected. What is said in my comics doesn't have any bearing to what actually goes on because there's a huge difference between what is said by me and what is said by a cartoon dog.
