Comic backups?
Re: Comic backups?
I draw on paper and keep all the old pages in a folder with the recent chapters in the pages of the "Great Waldo Search" book I draw on (hey it's a good portable surface and I can sort my notes inside it too!)
Then there's the file folder on my computer. and for a while I've have a backup site on smackjeeves for whenever something goes wrong here (like I forget to date the page 2009 because I thought were were still in 2008.)
If my house has a fire I'm going to be more worried about transporting a panicking cat and a cage full of mice down several flights of stairs.

Re: Comic backups?
I have lost all my backups long ago, and everything I draw gets trashed. Even my favorite works from art school were abandoned back home.

Re: Comic backups?
All my comic files are saved on an separate hard drive. The original PSD files are 300dpi. I shrink them dow and upload them at 72dpi JPEGs.
Re: Comic backups?
I keep mine on my hard drive, on a USB key, on an external drive, and on a few different DVDs (all created at different dates and hidden in different places). I suppose that since I draw my comic entirely by hand in sketchbooks and scan them in, I'll always have those at least, but as the comic is well over 300 pages long now it would be horrifically impractical to rescan them all in case something ever happened...

I've got a rather large external drive on which I routinely back up my crap...

My pain is in my toe. Actually, it's kind of numb last few weeks. Should I go to doctor?

My friend kicked a lamppost last year and it felt like she broke her toe but she never went to get it checked and it just kept hurting for months and months and months.
So possibly yes, although the numbness suggests it has taken on superpowers, namely invulnerability.

Re: Comic backups?
Like it was mentioned before, the numbness could be signs of supernatural ailments, namely extraterrestrial viral infections. If you don't take treat it quickly it could evolve into a intelligent humanoid-like being that can and will take over your life, including your mom, your sister, your cousin, your girlfriend, and occasionally, but also very unlikely (depending on the type of infection) your old neighbor lady next door.McDuffies wrote:My pain is in my toe. There is only one known treatment, but it might cause the infected victim lots of pain - expose the viral infected toe to numerous episodes of Sex and the City. Also, introduce Martha Stewart Christmas specials after every 5 episodes of Sex and the City. Rinse, repeat as desired or until viral infection has turned into a wimpy John Travolta-like substance and detached itself from the victim.
Good luck.
(btw, I have no life.)

Re: Comic backups?
Most scientists agree on one piece of advice- do NOT eat the toe, no matter how tempting and perhaps sausagey it may look.

I would never be so cruel, not even to a viral infection.Derek Dragomir wrote: There is only one know treatment, but it might cause the infected victim lots of pain - expose the viral infected toe to numerous episodes of Sex and the City.

It is rather meaty and nutritious though. Unfortunately you will then transform into a toe yourself.Spaceprincess wrote:you put mcd's diseased toe in your mouth!? ewww! all that fur must taste awful!Killbert-Robby wrote:This is going RIGHT in my mouth now.VeryCuddlyCornpone wrote:Most scientists agree on one piece of advice- do NOT eat the toe, no matter how tempting and perhaps sausagey it may look.
Haha, this reminds me of this one boy my friend knew from her opera camp, he had a weird toe that came up out of the middle of his foot and was not like the others, and he'd walk around barefoot all the time and sit around playing with the toe. Oh, Toe Kid, you were an amusing, amusing character.
