Nuklear Power was the first webcomic I've ever read. It must have been almost 7 years ago when I got into webcomics. The guy is really talented, I think his main selling point is his writing. His characters are so distinct and each very loveable. If you want a looooong read, this is it. He never misses an update, so you'll have 1100pages to go through! But I still highly, highly recommend it!
Applegeeks is probably my favorite comic at this point in time. It's the comic that made me want to write my own. It was created about 5 years ago, when they were still in school. The artist, Haque, got his degree in art, and it really shows through his comic. I love the way you see him develop as an artist throughout the years. His style changes drastically from month to month, storyline, to storyline, and they're all awesome. He also recently (1 or 2 years ago) began writing a spinoff comic, which is also pretty funny. It's a "AG lite" that updates 3 times a week. It's beauty is in it's simplicity. Also the comic's writer, Ananth, is freaking amazing as well!
Least I Could Do updates 7 days a week. The art is phenomenal and the story is too. I really envy these tagteam groups of artist and writers. I only started reading this comic 2 or 3 years ago when they switched styles. I never did read up on the old ones, but it's ok, because there really isn't an ongoing story. It's alot like the TV show "Friends" that way. Just gag-a-day interspersed by short, funny storylines! This is the comic that got me thinking about drawing strips instead of pages!
Looking For Group is a sister comic of
Least I Could Do. When I first saw it, I was like, where have I seen this art before?! Then it came to me. So, needless to say, the art in this comic is really pretty as well. This comic IS actually story-driven, unlike it's sister, and is drawn in the graphic novel format. It's a fantasy/adventure comic that I highly, highly, recommend.
There's my list of favorite comics! Enjoy!
