LleuGarnock's origins? This was so long ago, like eight years or something when I was doodling in my college classes with my four-colored pens - you know, black, blue, red and green. I was also playing a lot of D&D 3rd ed. I don't remember if there was a specific doodle, or something else, but once it was initiated things went pretty much this way:

Hey, I think I'll write a story with green-haired elves. What should they be like? Well, there should be a girl and boy, and they should be twins. Her power should be illusion, and his power should be conjuration.

I remember I was doodling when I came up with the image that inspired the beginning of the climax. I think I was drawing Gemini's eyes. That moment is really the heart of the story for me and it keeps me writing.

So all that stuff has stayed the same for eight years. I no longer remember the things that were different, but they were small things. Mostly things have been added, and Syblai's personality has been messed with.

The plot for Dragon's Fall comes from the same era of my life, but it was William's idea. We're planning on bringing that out soon.

Back in high school, my friend and I started writing a long, rambling, nonsensical sci-fi comic on notebook paper to distract us from the fact that we were dying of boredom. Six years later, we we talking about relaunching it, but couldn't get it off the ground again, until he came up with an interesting backstory for one of the secondary characters. I rolled with it and our long, rambling nonsensical sci-fi comic became a regularly updated plot-driven steampunk humor comic.

being bored in high school is where all the great ideas come from. It's when you draw and write when the teachers rambling on about crap. I'm think of re enrolling just to do some doodling.

been there done that, grad 2005. College wasn't boring, and there weren't the prison style study halls where one had to doodle in order to maintain ones sanity. Thats where I came up with most of my main characters.

I'm another who couldn't say exactly where it came from. I found myself doodling adventures for the three main characters in notebooks, then started drawing them on my computer; this was ten years ago. Finally I moved to then-Keenspace and rebooted the strip, my sloppy gag-a-day strip somehow became coated in disgusting thick layers of continuity, and here I am, still plugging away at it.

Yeah, boredom births awesomeness. Having an imagination makes me happy. Drawing and having a comic has saved me from a life of little accomplishment or achievement and allowed me to focus my chi. And by focus my chi I mean stop having obsessive crushes on silly boys and have something legitimate and reasonable to spend that much time thinking about.

Thirded.
P&A was born in high school. Niche was first, in grade nine French, then Turkish on a Wednesday (long story) half-watching Elizabeth, then Pimpette in English Media while watching some random interview with a pimp. Most of the rest of the cast were spur-of-the-moment creations that I doodled and eventually gave personalities to.
I really wish I still had all the Niche drawings. He originally looked a lot like Disco Stu from the Simpsons.
...there is a real Niche, and he is hiding somewhere in B.C. There is a real Jon too, and he vanished mysteriously for three years before suddenly appearing just around the corner from my apartment. Weird.

Shenanigan... well like Lego said. Basically we were bumming around the CN Expo and making fun of Batman comics.

Pumbum... was a chatroom typo that couldn't be ignored.

And Buttercats were on purpose. Because I was out to create something just as confusing as Pokemon: simultaneously adorable and bizarre to the point of not making any sense.

For me I was a big X-Men fan back elementary school, and when I was about eleven I just started to draw people with nifty special effects around their hands and whatnot. My parents encouraged my artistic outlets, but were big on "make your own pictures" rather than tracing, so I ended up making up my own characters to draw, rather than just making fanart of Iceman, Psylocke, Spider-Man, etc...

Now, years later, I miss the old soap-opera style storylines Clairemont used to write (Marvel's, as well as DC's, editing staff has gone berzerk in recent years, imho) so I decided I'd finally just make my own comic with hopefully the same feel as the ones I grew up with.

Also, unemployment's a pain, but has given me time to finally do this.

Wow... I have a pretty long story as well. My desire to create my own webcomic came during my Junior year of high school in 2003. I made several attempts at creating characters, and thinking up of gags to use for a comic, but my life just wasn't as interesting as I thought! I gave up the endeavor until pretty recently.

The idea of TWFC first hatched during Biology class in January 2007. I found myself doodling various action heroes in chibi form all across my notes. Spiderman shooting web across the page... Wolverine slashing up some table, Cyclops burning holes all over, etc. At first, the comic was just going to be about Spiderman, because he was easy to draw. I would give Spiderman a new personality, and portray him learning about his new abilities, and just getting knocked around by simple day to day obstacles. But out of fear of copyright laws, I decided to create a character to call my own. I've been practicing Choy Lay Fut (southern style of kung fu) for a about 12 years, but I'm enthusiastic about martial arts in general. I was also born in the year of the tiger, so naturally, Hero, my main character, would be a rogue tiger martial artist! I really enjoyed drawing other superheroes and villains, and figure as long as I don't take the credit for their creation, I should be pretty safe. In order to incorporate all of these heroes, I thought that it might be best to come up with a storyline. Someway, somehow, Hero has to be responsible for saving the world. So, I plan to have Hero adventure through different dimensions where he will meet heroes, like Superman, Pokemon, Doc and Marty, Mario, etc, who help him in his quest to defeat evil!

In the beginning, TWFC was drawn in the form of a graphic novel, inspired by my favorite webcomic, Applegeeks. Although the page format is more suited for the adventure feel of my comic, I felt that the chibi style of TWFC was not suited for the graphic novel format. Eventually, dissatisfaction, and MMORPG's, and... oh, schoolwork drove me to stop updating the comic altogether. That is, until February of 2009, a little more than two years after the comic's debut. In the fall semester of 2008, I decided to quit playing time-consuming MMORPG's and to turn my life around... start working, working out, and other stuff. One of my final projects required me to create an adaptation of some sort of media. Naturally, I drew upon his old comic-ing skills and drew up a strip adaptation of Spiderman! After realizing how much better suited the strip format was for his drawing style, he decided to restart the comic!

The idea for the Volet originally came from a christmas picture I did involving all the tiny characters playing around and Mina Windia being the christmas angel. Then I drew a short story from there. In 2002 I redrew the said comic/story and it is the current version online.
