A Holiday Thread

Post by Bustertheclown »

I'm tired of GD getting the topic shaft, so I've decided to spice things up a bit around these parts. I start with this. Seeing as the big ol' Holiday Season is being ushered in today/tomorrow/yesterday with Halloween, mayhaps it would nice to post some holiday-specific comics. I'll go first!

Happy Halloween!

Well this isn't just a a Halloween thread. It's a holiday thread. I am surprised to see that nobody else wants to post a Halloween comic. Perhaps better luck in the ensuing weeks? My Christmas card this year is going to be an epic 36-page comic. I can't wait!

Eh I'm simply not much of a hollyday kind of guy. Even when I had a regularly running comic, coming up with something thematic was more of a burden.

I usually care more about getting the comic updated with the continuing story rather than putting it off track via Holiday art that only a fraction of my readership probably cares about or celebrates (On Halloween I simply made a slightly longer page than usual, I think everyone probably liked that more). The most Holiday I get these days with my comic are the Secret Santa exchanges.

So, for U.S.ians, Thanksgiving is only a couple of days away. I'm working on a Thanksgiving cartoon right now. I'll be posting it up soon. Anyone else?

So, the big holidays of the season are about to drop over the next two weeks. Anyone got anything planned? I'm not sure I'll be able to finish my big Christmas comic project in time, because time has been at a major premium for me since Thanksgiving, and much of my creative energy needs to focus more on gift art for the time being. Now I think I need to come up with a fall-back. It's too bad. This story has been waiting to be done for a year now, but I didn't really think to get to it until the holidays began. Woe is me for my lack of planning.

It seems that Evil Bizarro Christmas would be better celebrated in the southern hemisphere.
