This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.

Well, taking breaks so your experience can sink in works, I think. Plus when your taking your break, reading, maybe even thinking about art makes you better I guess... I'm also guilty of taking too many breaks so.. yeah...

Well, when I take a break from comicking, it doesn't necessarily mean I've taken a break from drawing. I sort of can't not draw. So in between comics I end up with pages and pages of just random crap - most of which is horrible but some of which actually turns out really well.
In my last break I discovered that lingerie sites are totally a good source for reference photos >_>

It's not improbable. Many people used to pass their exams by taking a break for several days until the knowledge "settles down". Or driving tests or similar things.Dr Legostar wrote: i dunno, you took a long break from Shenanigan and suddenly you art improved when you came back, maybe taking breaks is what makes you improve.

How good you are is also determined by how much you draw isn't it? So quality = quantity...

I took about a six month break from any kind of drawing and then landed a job with a local animation company. Being in such a creative environment did wonders for me.

Here's the first appearance of the characters from over 3 years ago...

I guess what I'm saying is I've got a lot better at drawing tits.

Re: Good luck to everyone!!
You know, I have to agree that sometimes taking a break is a good idea. I never don't draw, but input has to equal output. If I produce a lot of art, it seems like my batteries run low and I need to read about four novels or something to get back to WANTING to do any major projects, and not just drawing my rpg characters looking cool in my sketchbook.
That said, deadlines are a great motivator. I'm under one now and shouldn't be typing this. The fact that my comic gets more regular hits than it deserves is also a great motivator. ::::Sigh:::: suppose i better get back to it.
