BEST DAY OF THE YEAR! At last the printed copies of my my precious little webcomic arrived this morning. After a year or working away and listening to the many constructive critisisms, especially from the webcomic forums such as Comic genesis to begin with , my initial crude little strip has grown up and made it to print.

... and the punchline to all this is, my local Borders have ordered thirty copies and want me for a book signing this Saturday. I'm not the most outgoing of people but they say the promo posters go up tomorrow! Great, but scary news from my pov.

Cool! Don't be nervous - you're the main man there, after all. And don't be disappointed should there not be a lot of customers - the important thing is the marketing aspect; making people aware the book exists. Tell your local paper or radio station about the signing in advance, or get them to drop by for an an interview on the day. Sending free review copies to select newspapers and magazines is also a good idea.

Good advice. Been doing all the above today and plan to do the same tomorrow. If I get some results before Friday I'll post them up. Am thinking this needn't be the disaster I fear.
