In the past I was distracted by my kids and everything else that comes with domestic bliss, taking out the trash, getting the kids to do homework, cleaning the kitchen, the dog, etc. But I was still able to find time to write and draw. Having an understanding wife and good kids help.

Getting laid off last month has thrown a BIG monkey wrench into the whole mix. I'm not attempting to keep up the three a week schedule right now. Job hunting takes a lot of time (who would've guessed?). And when I DO have time for the strip, my motivation level is way down.

Now if I could only get paid to do the strip I'd have all the time I want and NO motivation trouble at all!

Jkandra nailed it: Life gets in the way. Between marriage, baby, moving and layoffs, my submissions have been inconsistent this decade (what the hell is the name of this decade anyway???). Last decade (that one is called "The 90's"), I had 15 newspapers waiting for my comic strip everyday so that was the best motivator. Not far away in second place was the sporadic checks that came in as well. For webcomic artists that draw and post 3xWeek or more and get 0.00 dollars for your effort, I salute you my friend.

Schoolwork doesn't take much time. School slacking takes OODLES of time. It sounds odd, but it's hard to be creative when there are links to fun games on my desktop and useless websites to peruse.

My comic is only just reviving after a long laziness-induced hiatus. Awful work ethic, just awful.

Well, happy birthday! (Unless your birthday has the tendency to get in the way on other days of the year as well =P)

Probably me only being able to make comics every other week (My parents are split up but they live in the same city so I have to be shuffled back and forth. One computer has a tablet, the other doesn't)

And school I guess not really...

Comic Distractions? :

-Working (I'm on a computer at work all day, its sometimes hard to sit at one at home.)
-Portfolio Projects
-Commissions
-Random Ideas that HAVE TO BE DONE THE MOMENT YOU THINK OF THEM or you'll never work on them again.
-Internet
-My Crush
-My dogs deciding that running around and barking at nothing for hours at a time.
