I had the same problem and my own flexibility and deciding what's most important timewise got me through it. Watching less movies, reading a little less, being less lazy with my time and working evenings. Let this kid be your teacher and improve your use of time.

Wow. I just reread what I wrote and it DID sound like venting and whining. Sorry about that. I guess I was just frustrated. I try to work around the relationship, but sometimes I just get tired. It's this or that in a lot of instances, and I tend to choose what makes others happy over what I want or need. I'm going to start finding time, no matter what, for what makes me happy. Thanks for sharing!

Used to, it was writing that would get in the way of my comic, because I never wrote ahead. Now I've started writing a few more ideas each day, that is no longer a major concern. If I can't come up with an idea, I can pull something from my joke file.

Aside from that, one of the main obstacles is sitting down and actually drawing for the comic, because there are so many other things I would rather be doing. Instead of drawing comics, I may end up playing video games, surfing the internet, or reading. Hell, right now I should be drawing but I'm not.

I come home from work, cook dinner, clean up after, do the lanudry and I just want to nap and read afterwards.

Mostly just laziness. I have been getting more outside writing/drawing projects going though, and since those ones actually pay money sometimes they gotta go first.

Nothing really gets in the way of making Legostar Galactica.

And you're sure that's not why men marry?

I get lazy too, but today I pushed myself to do some work, and updated both of my sites. It felt good too.

as of right now, dealing with beaurocratic red tape between two different countries, and the fact that a good chunk of my belongings are either packed in storage or already on the other side of the globe without me

at least I have a protoge who wants to do some comics for a while

Work, hunger, sleep, laziness, TV, emotions, stress, the internet...

Pretty much everything gets in the way.

Professional obligations, girlfriend and playing music with my friends all stand in my way of comicking. I'm not complaining though, because all those things are rewarding in themselves and I enjoy them as much as I do comicking.

the old mcduffies would have done so for your panties, but he's got a girlfriend now, his days of listening to women (other than her of course) are over.
