Um, okay. I haven't done any promotion and it might be nice to have a reader or two. This seems easy enough.

I went ahead "liked" everyone on the thread so far.
Cheers.

Don't give them TOO MUCH fan service otherwise you'll get stuck with it whether you like it or not.... I wish someone had told me that XD

Me too, I drew nudity in my first week  there's nowhere to go but down.

I like to pretend it's different for me because I have tits (it isn't)

BTW Your comic Carlos, I love love love the artwork! Natasha and Lulu are just gorgeous. It's funny seeing Natasha evolve from a scrappy gamine to a love goddess.

I have to go in a bit, but when I get back I'll "like" everyone in the thread, too. And if anyone wants to add my comic now that it's no longer on hiatus, the link is in my signature banner or here.

Curses! I wish I had all the time to read all your comics, work keeps kicking my ass. I barely have enough time to update my own Manga! I’m quitting soon though, so I’ll make a note to read them all.

Fist fulls of money just don’t add up to a whole lot when I have to sacrifice my art!

Hey, thanks! I've been following your comic for a while and I love it too! It's seems so innocent when you first click on it then... BANG! Good stuff!!

I got hit by stumbleupon a while ago, and did some reasearch on it. You want to be careful how you use it - the users tend to hit your site and bounce away - not a lot of repeat visitors. Here's what i've gathered on it:

SU gives you a sort of rating as to how to use your picks called an audience number. Higher audience number, the more influence over the flood of users you get.

The first thing i'd encourage everyone to do is to add each other as "friends", and a few other people to boot. SU uses your friends to determine which part of it's userbase to apply your ratings to. It also influences your audience number.

Don't just thumbs up everyone in the thread and quit - it takes time for your audience number to go up. You need to thumbs up both new sites, and things that you've stumbled for it to go up as fast as possible. In fact, use it for a month and come back and thumbs up everyone again.

Make sure you don't thumbs up the front page of the comic. Go in the archive and find the best page for someone who is going to be at the site for three seconds. The funniest, prettiest, whatever - SU users are notoriously bouncy. Because of this your site will also have a better chance of getting hit again (you won't get marked as a dupe), instead of everyone seeing the front page once and moving on.

That's what i've gathered so far. I'm starting to use it when i have some down time to figure out how it works better - i'll post again if i find more info.

I've been stumbling not just other comic sites, but also the sites I like and visit regularly. I figure that the people who like the same kind of things as I like would like the same kind of things as I like, so liking these things should connect me with those people.

I found out about StumbleUpon the same way, but after a while it took me off, and then I cried for weeks.

Um, anyway, here's a URL: http://minisuck.comicgenesis.com/d/20070711.html

I can't imagine the demographic information they're collecting with this service. That sorta information would be priceless for an advertising agency.

Hopefully you could skew the statistics by using fraudulent user details. Sign up as a 115 year old woman and go favorite Zoology like eight times.
