I should probably note that while the pages for artists have been taken up for some time, you are more than welcome to buy some advertising space for your comic and place it in the ad section of the comic. We have a couple pages left for that, and you can see the prices and other details here.

OTHER NOTE: If anybody would like to donate some artwork to help "decorate" some pages of the book, some Gen Chan characters or any color artwork at 600 dpi would be most welcome. Since many of us here have already created Gen Chan characters, some of these would help a bunch in making the "extras" in the book look cool, and you'll get credit for your comic in the book, too.

I did ask H&R Block, and was told that it could not count as a charitable donation. And that unless your itemized deductions exceed the standard deduction, it's better to take the standard deduction anyway.

FCBD - It is not a deduction, but we would love your charity!

Well, I figured I might as well post the NNFB ad we'll be submitting for the book. I'll be notifying readers that they can find this page in the CG FCBD book, so maybe this will be a case where an advertiser helps push the book it's in :)

Ugh.
I fixed some of the puncutation, but I didn't feel like uploading it again.
I just sent the pages, so hopefully they got there.

Great job, SubLet! The art came out fantastic, and it was a great little comic to boot. I like how you brought the running back at the end. And the guy on the job fair poster made me chuckle. Nice going there. :D

I found an inconsistency! Whohoo!

The guy on the Job Fair poster - his arm barely reaches the "F" in Fair in the small image, but extends way under the word FAIR in the close up.

:P

I wondered if the sketches you'd posted on your site were going to be for the FCBD or not! Neat.

Also, SubLet is a very cool abbreviated name for you SuburbanLetdown.

Now that I know it's there I can't let it slide through. I spent too much time on it to let a mistake like that go into print. If it were just on the web I wouldn't care.

Wow.

I laud you desire for perfection, but think you are insane.

Insane-er, at any rate.

Oh, I'm super-crazy, but it's going to be the death of me.

Since I'll resend it, there's probably a few other things I should fix while I'm at it.

That Job Fair poster is hardly worth fixing, Chris. I've seen much, MUCH worse inconsistencies in professionally printed comics.

Actually, I've seen bigger inconsistencies in movies and cartoons and I think they're kind of cool to catch. I'd guess I'd leave it, but there are a few other things that need fixing anyway. The one I actually sent is a different different version where the descenders in the URL are sorta cut off, so I may as well fix the poster too. Just a little goache and india ink'll do. I wish I didn't care so much, because I really miss sleep and excercise.

This, incidentally, is the only reason I mentioned the one I found.

Good catch. It would've annoyed me to no end if I saw it later in print, especially since it's such a simple thing that shouldn't have been screwed up. I'm sure there are others here I'm not seeing, but oh well. if I don't catch them before tonight that's the way the things roll.
