Does anyone need Guest Strips?

Post by Jin-roh »

In an effort to promote my comic, I've decided that I'd offer to do Guest Strips. Posting here there I can't promise you that I will have a guest strip done for you, but I can at least look at your comic, and see if I get some ideas.

For the record, my comic is something of a real life, roommate, college, religion, and geek comic. I don't really do a lot of the fantasy stuff, but I'm still willing to look.

So does anyone need guest strips?

Actually I was just about to look into some guest strips for Ded End.... the story arc I'm doing right now is the two main characters holding "Try-outs" for other characters....I was thinking a couple of guest strips playing off of this would be fun to toss in the mix...

Feel free to come up wioth one if you like!

sure, if you're handing 'em out. :)

My first opening in my queue is mid february, and I need a guest comic!

I'd be happy to pimp you to my meager 200 readers.

Any excuse to whore out my comic. I can't see a need for a fan strip yet though...I'm just 1/3rd through a story arc and haven't got to the violent bit yet!

Since I'm on a bit of hiatus, I could use some.

Only if you read the strip and actually like it, and if you don't mind it going into the gallery and not in the official archives. If that's a no to either of those, no worries also. :)

MrEff, that was a great idea. I've just completed a strip for you and sent to you email.

Everyone else, I'm going to have to check out your strips in the next few days.

I've always got need for guest comics. What with having 365 updates to fill... White House in Orbit or Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan, I don't mind...

You do them in Polish too? The guest strips, I mean, cause my English-spoken webcomic is on a kind of unvoluntary hiatus due to my artist...

:\

Well, if you don't speak Polish, trying to make "What did I say, moron" familiar for you, would be kind of a long and boring task :P

Why not. And in return, I might make one for you- plus the last two that made them are quite regularly read by me. I'd put it up at the end of the week, too. Fridays and Saturdays are rather lacking for updates, what with Dawn of a New Era (my other webcomic) being updated (roughly) Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays I can just do a preview of the next comic. Fridays, however...

Now, that seems singularly unfair, you going to all that trouble for the few measely links that my site might provide...

I'm happy to do a guest-strip swap with you, if you're interested. :D

Found Comics(http://www.foundcomics.net) is always looking for people willing to do guest strips.

It's not a typical webcomic and its created in a very unusual way, so you don't even need to have any artistic skill to make one.

I don't really need a guest strip right now, but it would be nice to have one (or more) if I, for some reason, can't update. Either comic is fine (though I know that DMMK just started, and it'd probably hard to get a feel for it right now.)

In return, all I ask is that you put my comic(s) in your links page. I scratch your back, you scratch mine. Actually, I think that goes the other way around, but same thing.

You can always send me guest/fan art. If I might make a suggestion, though, I'd be even MORE grateful for what I call an "alternative" page---a page out of my comic redrawn in your own style. You can get an idea of it here at http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com/mmalt.htm ---exposing your artistic strengths.

Think of reading an X-Men comic book, and with the flick of a mouse, seeing it the way Jack Kirby would draw it---than John Byrne-- than Alex Ross---then Adam Kubert.

I think it's an interesting idea, and I get hundreds of hits/visits a day, so I think it would worth your while. ---Al
