You're more than welcome to use mine.
http://www.antibunny.com/d/20060223.html

I call this one a sort of prologue but it is the first thing of AntiBunny you'll see. (aside from a cover). The real reason is I drew this one later and had already numbered about 15 strips and didn't want to go back so I call this the zero strip.

Interestingly enough it's always raining at the start of a new chapter in my comic.

Well, since i'm not entirely sure what you're looking for, i'll have to give you a few different links.

My comic is meant to be viewed nonlinearly, but since anyone who watches as it updates gets it in a semilinear fashon i tend to think about that a good deal. This is the one with the lowest date -
http://cwcomics.comicgenesis.com/d/20060403.html

If you're looking for the absolute chronological "i did this one first", this one is essentially a less doodly version of the original* This is:. (If you want it, i can scan the original doodly one.) -
http://cwcomics.comicgenesis.com/d/20060407.html

Since This is: sort of an odd duck, here's the first comic with normal panels and pages i've done (though it started a lot later than This is:) -
http://cwcomics.comicgenesis.com/alt/nameis/index.html

Just to round it out, might as well give you the first traditional single panel i did -
http://cwcomics.comicgenesis.com/alt/dinodie/01.html

* I'm not entirely sure it's the original original. I drew three of them within an hour, the other two being Mr. Stetson and Mr. Leedun, which were similarly doodly. They were fridays, so you can use the chronological nav to get to them pretty quick (skip the mondays), or just use the archive.

Well, ok.

Beginning of mcDuffies. I'm actually quite proud of it. But I do feel uncomfortable about the comic that is on indefinite hiatus.

Beginning of LWK. Standard beginning for a mystery.

Beginning of Kill'er now. Sets the tone of the comic.

Good time for me to get to Comixpedia. I just started selling addspace. :P

I'll jump in.

http://schoolspiritcomic.com/istrip_fil ... 040612.jpg

It's your standard 'First Day At New School' sort of strip, but it's got a more philosophical sort of questioning to it. Like someone earlier said...I'm still relatively new to this, and this is the only strip I've ever done, so I went in not knowing this was supposedly an over-used cliche. :)

Use it if you need it.

Cheers.

Sasjhwa's Studio has hosted 4 comics in the past. For simplicity, the first links to all my comics can be found at http://sasjhwa.comicgenesis.com/storyline.html

***
The first two survived a dozen pages and then ended.
Magic and Miracles http://sasjhwa.comicgenesis.com/d/20060102.html
Blackberrry House http://sasjhwa.comicgenesis.com/d/20060201.html

Action Figure Cinema ran a full 56 pages to its intended conclusion. http://sasjhwa.comicgenesis.com/d/20060423.html

My current comic is Heroes of Audio Land and has run for 56 issues so far with no end in sight. The first 30 some pages were from an old hand drawn comic so they are really rough and poorly drawn. http://sasjhwa.comicgenesis.com/d/20060901.html

Have fun!

First Cortland comic ever from back in May of 2002, predating everything I've done on Comic Genesis.

Nope. Since it wasn't the first comic of the strip, I didn't see any need to post that one.

I already dislike this, and it was only six months ago.

The idea was okay, but I could have pulled it off better, and six months on the character is barely recognizable as the one I'm drawing now.

You can critique the Hades out of mine. I know the first four panels stunk because I couldn't figure out the text bubble thing and what font to use. Everything seems a little over crowded.

It doesn't help that I am using Corel 8...but it was a gift back when it was new, so free is good.

The first Reasoned Cognition in color (it's the fourth or fifth strip I ever did):

Here's mine.

I'd personally view it as a negative example, since it gives too much away too soon. I just remember freaking out about having a story, but no way to begin it, so I rushed the first comic. Also, I hate the backgrounds.

Here my first: http://www.flyovercountry.net/d/20060904.html

It's very, VERY different than what my strip normally is, but it makes more sense when you take into account that the storyline's name is "The First Day". It's also an example of "panel bloat", a disease I was afflicted with until I switched to strict panel template/size. I still have the old hand-drawn rough when this was five panels long.

Meh...

I hate the writing of the first page, it doesn't give the right impression about the comic's later mood and direction at all. Art was... okay, I guess.

Well, the beginning is here at http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com/mindact1.htm but it's actually a redrawn version of this page at http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com/oldmindact1.htm---but I have actually a sort of different "beginning" of mine than most of you---

You see, while I was waiting for my comicgenesis account to be approved, I worked on the comic, so I actually finished my first entire story arc, and had half the next one out there, when the comicgenesis account went live. In other words, I had "I think, Therefore I am" and half of "Military Intelligence" out there all at ONCE.

I'm not sure if it was a strength or a weakness. Would I have done better to do it page by page, building readers' interest with each successive page, or is it better to have the entire origin out there for the interested reader to read at one sitting? I'm STILL not sure of the answer.

If mine were a gag-a-day strip, it would be a definite MINUS to put it all out there at once, but since mine is instead an action-adventure comic, I think it MAY have been a plus. Still not sure, though.

i was once told junkRIOT started terribly because it begins with an ending but here's the first actual page:
http://junkriot.comicgen.com/d/20040723.html
Every story begins with some kind of ending 8-)
