So Then I Wonder, "How Can I Introduce Myself?"

Post by Jac »

It all starts when I get this brilliant idea- more of a dream, really- to one day create a webcomic. I'm all like "HECK Y3S, (0/\/\1X |2 T3H l337!!1!one!". But I ask myself: how do I go about creating one and hosting it online? Well, Keenspace, of course! Except it's not CALLED Keenspace anymore, it's called Comic Genesis, and I still don't why so don't ask me. Whatever. ANYWAY. While I'm reading through how to submit a comic, I start thinking "Hm, I better wait until I have plenty of time on my hands if I want to go through with this." Thus, I decide to submit a form for an actual website during the summer, when I have nothing better to do than sit at the computer all day anyway.

But I still want to be a part of the webcomic COMMUNITY, you know? That's when I sign up on the forums. Yay. So then I wonder, "How can I introduce myself to all these mighty cool people?" In confusion, I trudge over to the "General Discussion" forum and look at the rules. It doesn't say you CAN'T post an intro thread... Finally, I arrive at the decision to post an thead to introduce myself and wait for the responses. If I get flammed, I will curse myself for being a n00b. If I recieve cookies, I will perform an Irish jig.

So which is it? Flames? Or cookies? Or flaming cookies?

*kicks the Box over a cliff*

Seriously, welcome. Stick around long enough, and you shall be absorbed into our culture.

ASTOUNDING. Has the NASA been informed yet? This is a massive advancement in science, and should be recognized!

But on to my current dilemas...

Read every comic on CG? How about only the good ones? That's about... 13 years and 11 months according to my calculations... crap.

But if I start now I can-*gets kicked off cliff* AAAAAAAaaaaaaa-*thump*........ I'm not dead, yet!

WE INTERRUPT THIS POST TO BRING YOU A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSERS!

Flame grilled cookies, now at Steakback Outhouse! Wait, sorry, I mean, Outback Steakhouse!

WE NOW RETURN TO OUR FEATURE PRESENTATION!

AAH, scarier box! Where can I hide? I KNOW! In this box! *leaps into scarier box* Wait... CURSES!

Regardless of wether or not you get in the box, you will find no cheese. Cause the government, in league with the freemasons, have stolen all the cheese. That is why There Is No Cheese.

You don't know the glory and splendor of the Hellraiser movies?!

Well . . . the glory and splendor of the first few, anyway. It went downhill pretty damn fast after that.

You've lasted more posts than most of those who make "hi, I'm new" threads. Usually, we scare them off by now.

Either that, or bore them with all our in-jokes.

Nonsense. I have thoroughly investigated the matter, and have found evidence showing that there are no doombees. They were merely a rumor started by congress to further thier attempts to take over CG so that they could turn it into a giant propaganda machine to support thier endeavors to control the global swiss cheese industry. It's all a hoax.

Nonsense. I can't be a witch. I'm a guy. I would be a warlock. You're so silly, sometimes.
