I find your(Mikas) reason for failing to bring us Fridays comic very acceptable. I'm trying to find Hellsing Manga at the moment. There is 9 millon people in this nation why is there only one good comic store???? I don't know anything about Xmen, except that awfull movie. Since I live in a socialist state, American propaganda cartoons wasn't something the governmental TV monopoly would air. I grew up on hungarian cartoons and czech puppet shows. Maybe thats why I started wathing japanese cartoons at age 21?
Damn this is starting to look like a rant and I have gone off topic! What was my point again? Oh yeah I was supposed to bitch about how bad no update of comic is to my hart! Checking the site several times a day for an update.

Yep! Very acceptable

I was a marvel/x-men freak years and years ago. Then I saw an ep and a manga of Dragon Ball Z and that changed my life forever. It was only recently that I was surfing round the net and rekindled my old (American) comic obsessions. hehe.

I guess deep down inside I'm just a comic freak

Most

I know a few anime fans/friends who'd rip my head off for liking non-anime (American) comic stuff.

American propaganda cartoons?! I'd hardly consider Elmer Fudd and Speedy Gonzalez agents of evil American Capitalism...

Superman, Captain America....
Those where the propaganda cartoons.
They broadcasted Disney once a year on christmas eve. Today this is a deep roted tradition.

This is when you calmly remind the ignorant little pockyheads that all anime and manga is deeply rooted in American and European animation and comics. If they need an example, point to Kuririn of Dragon Ball. Toriyama openly admits to having drawn Kuririn as a tribute to Peanuts. He also featured a character named "Superman" in Doctor Slump.

That's all you're getting from me at 2:44 PM. I just got out of bed!

My complaint against American comics is that they're put together like American TV shows- haphazard to the point of being ridiculous. This is why I prefer Japanese and Spanish dramas to American soap operas. There's a set story, and it doesn't turn to shit when the writers run out of ideas. Now, agreeably, most American comics have done fantastically well despite this haphazardness, but as you may recall when DC Comics had their Zero Hour and Crisis on Infinite Earths nonsense, they had to "fix" a lot of continuity problems. =
